Bought one of these years ago on the recommendation of Anthony Bourdain (RIP), who mentions them in his book, Kitchen Confidential. Love it. Still works great. Equipping a kitchen for a camper, and decided this was a must-have, and the new one is the same high quality. It's the go-to slicer for any bread, but we use it for a lot of other food prep, as well. It doesn't replace a chef's knife for everything, but it's a very useful tool and the offset handle is a real knuckle-saver.

I’ve been using drop handle serrated knives for years. I use them professionally in the restaurant business and I continue to use them at home. These knives stay sharp and they cut through just about everything with ease. My original knife at home is so worn down now that I had to get a replacement And this was a great Choice. I love it

great knife mentioned in Anthony Bourdain's book. Bought it for a close friend that does a lot of bread baking and it's great for cutting sourdough. Offset aspect makes cutting things much easier.

We bought this knife after reading in Anthony Bourdain’s book Kitchen Confidential that this is a knife he admired. We can see why. It’s now our favorite bit of kitchen kit.

I bought this because Anthony Bourdain recommended one in his Kitchen Confidential book. This may not be the exact knife he was recommending. It's all right, but not spectacular. The raised handle does help somewhat. Best as a bread knife. I wouldn't use it for general slicing because its serrated blade will mar my cutting board.

Love chopping veggies with this knife. Very easy and no knuckle busting. Good quality not flimsy.

Reading Kitchen Confidential (great book!) and Anthony Bourdain wrote that this was the knife I needed so I ordered it. I have a drawer full of useless knives and was contemplating a 'good set' (aka expensive). I am just a mom looking to prepare meals though, so I took a chance on Bourdain's inexpensive suggestion. I am SO glad I read this passage and ordered this knife! It's amazing to me how easily this knife cuts fruit and vegetables. And the price (I paid $23 on here) is equally amazing. I love the handle too. I had never seen a knife shaped like this but the idea really works. I feel like I have more control when I am cutting. I hope Bourdain gets a cut from all the business because a lot of the reviews reference the same book passage as being their motivation to buy this knife too!

I bought this based on Anthony Bourdain's book and his recommendation of a couple of starter knives everyone should have. From looking online...it is often listed as a "bread knife". As Bourdain recommends, ... and I now agree it is good for everything, including carving meat, which if you read enough reviews, you'll find the same information. Looks odd, no doubt. But performs like a champ. Good purchase, and would definitely recommend it.

Coltello per il pane con un'impugnatura diversa da quella tradizionale. Appena scartato pensavo più ad un giocattolo che ad un vero e proprio coltello, ma mi sono ricreduto subito. Il coltello taglia alla perfezione! Ha una lama ottima e non troppo lunga. Super soddisfatto

Fantastic knife. Great as a bread knife and veg slicer. Slices very fine tomato slices without “squishing” the tomato. I’ve found that I use it often. Recommended by Anthony Bourdain. This is why I purchased it and I’m very pleased.
