Woodland & Young North EPs

If for nothing else, get this for the Woodland EP. I love the Young North EP, but the Woodland EP is just so fantastic. Willow Tree March is my favorite song on there, but really the whole EP is well put together and you can't beat two CDs in one. The Paper Kites are a great band.

Mostly rated because of its sentimental value. If anyone cares to take the time to breathe in a moment of time, I'd recommend this to you. Love and be loved

The Paper Kites is a good group. From this product page, however, you can't listen to samples. It took me a minute to figure it out, but you can listen to samples from the albums. Under the drop down menu of MP3 Music on Amazon, type "Paper Kites." You will see the icons for the two albums included on this set. You need to click on each of the individual albums to hear the samples. (The cover art on the individual albums is nicer.) It would have been nice to get the MP3 version included in this set, but for the price, I can upload it myself. All of the songs from the two albums, "Woodland" and "Young North" are including in this compilation album. It's a good price (currently $6.49) because if you pay for the two albums separately, it will set you back $8.98 total. Note, however, that even though the two albums are combined, you are only getting a total of eleven songs. The style is indie singer-songwriter type of music. You've probably heard their music before, and you'll recognize at least some of these songs. It's very soft and nice to listen to. It reminds me of the music of Peter, Paul and Mary, and I'm looking forward to receiving my copy of this album. Although I have not yet listened to this particular album, and I generally do not write product reviews until I fully assess the entire product experience, I wanted to share with others how to listen to the samples while the price is so good. If there are any quality issues when I receive the disc, I will update my review.

Excellent acoustic guitar melodies and awesome lyrics! They are amazing live as well! Love, love, love this band and I can not wait for the next album.

One disk very nice. Upbeat and mellow.

Tolle Musik, die, und das ist heute eher selten, auch genial aufgenommen wurde. Ein Keyboard kommt nach meinen Eindrücken nur 1 oder 2 mal und ich denke ganz bewusst zum Einsatz. Die Stücke werden von den Instrumenten, vor allem aber auch den Stimmen, getragen. In einzelnen Stücken wirkt es etwas Oldschool - die Stimmen im Hintergrund mit etwas zu viel Hall - aber wunderbar räumlich und vor allem auch trennbar wahrzunehmen. Ein Juwel, das mich sehr überraschte! Die Aufnahmequalität erinnert mich an alte Analogaufnahmen von Dire Straits! Mehr davon!

Bought "On The Corner Where You Live" which I loved, so bought this too. Earlier music from the band and a little more folky that "Corner", but these are wonderful songs. I love it.

Aunque tiene años lo descubrí hace un año y me sorprendió su carácter preciosista. De forma extraña la evolución de este grupo, a mi juicio, ha sido oscura y negativa.

I got this only a few weeks ago but both albums have already become constant background music in my life. Every Paper Kites fan should have this! I just wish the band would come to where I live
