A worthy Investment for the Basecamp Maker.
I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before. But i absolutely love this tent. My girlfriend had never been camping before but had always wanted to. The outdoors is a huge part of who I am and how I grew up, so I didn’t want to put her on a backpacking trip up to Half Dome and completely alienate her from the experience. This tent was my way to ease her into the woods. And holy crap does it ease you in, I mean, people. You’re bringing a house into the outdoors. And an incredibly well made house! All of the poles stayed solid even through rougher winds., the floor material is good solid and waterproof (although I do recommend a good footprint for rougher terrain). All of the stakes, guy lines, and tensioners hold up to a good solid pounding through rock and gravel without deformity. The zipper constructions are beefy, super solid, a quite smooth when you take into account the amount of tension on them. As for the price, I buy top of the line gear but even this price made me a bit hesitant. Definitely for a brand I hadn’t heard of before, but this made my girlfriend so happy and me right along with her. She can’t wait to go camping again and now she’s planning our next trip! I got more than my moneys worth out of this for sure.

Zipper might be issue but we'll worth it
So far we got the 20ft and it is enough room for two adults, 1 tween, 2 large dogs plus their crates and 2 cats. Holds our queen bed, full sized bed, 8 cube organization, small fridge and more with ample amount of room still. 100% water proof. Only down is the zipper.. it won't close on the bottom a.d feels like if we force it it will break. Other than that I would recommend

Ok but gets pin holes easy
Nice tent but gets in holes in it very easy. Requires a lot of maintenance if you use near woods.

Tour the outside and inside
I LOVE this yurt/tent. I purchased the 16’ size just for me. I’m camping in the outdoors during the winter for an extended period of time while I work remotely so it is perfect for me. First morning after setup, got a rain welcome and boy - this yurt held up greatly. The damp material did not leak inside the tent… however, the seam lines of the tent on the exterior were the channels that led water in. After the material dried, about a week later, a massive rainstorm came through… I mean flooding & everything and I was dry as a bone… best sleep of my life. It rained for about 3 days and by day 3 I noticed the same issue. It’s an extremely easy fix that starts with setting up your tent correctly. You need to put your back into it and make sure your guidelines are tight, not creating any creases so rain water cannot pool at the seams and get inside. Besides that, it’s been great! I notice that while the sun is out uninhibited by clouds… heat does not permeate through the material- I have to physically open the panels and windows to allow sunlight in to warm up the inside of the yurt. With that said, I’m looking forward to summer camping. I do regular maintenance to keep the yurt looking fresh from dust, bird droppings, tree sap, spiderwebs and spiders. I use a ceiling fan cleaner and that does the trick. I wait this all is dry (no moisture or mist layering on the material) to dust it off. I also purchased and have in use the black tarp that goes underneath the footprint of the yurt. It works great. I didn’t buy the rain fly in time but I do recommend it to keep the material in pristine condition. Set up was super easy and done by one person. I bought heavy duty tent steaks to beef up what came with this yurt. I used a mallet to get those into the ground. Can’t wait to buy a camping stove but for now I am using the camping stove panel to wire the propane hose through ti the inside while I keep my propane tank outside. The velcro system works really well. UPDATE: material on the flap for the roof pipe vent is highly flammable. The design of it does not allow it to be rolled away to leave clearance for the pipe not to touch the flap. The opening in the flap is spacious but the flap itself doesn’t latch open at all… I had to engineer it to Velcro it open in an odd way - it’s like the roof flap was designed to stay closed even with the Velcro, there’s no way to keep it open. So even though I managed to manipulate the flap to stay open, over time it managed to touch the hot pipe- the pipe was covered with heat resistant material and the flap on the yurt still burned. That shows the material is HIGHLY flammable since it only made contact with the heat resistant band which was double wrapped around the metal vent pipe of my tent stove. I was watching it like a hawk, and every few minutes I’d get up to check and it still burned. Thankfully I caught it… it burned from the point of contact in a crease. I didn’t smell it much because not a lot of it burned when I caught it. It didn’t burst into flames… the heat consumed the material without much odor or smoke or ignition of any sort. Had I not been watching it, it could have been catastrophic even deadly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT IF YOU PLAN ON HAVING A TENT STOVE THAT REQUIRES A PIPE VENT. Design is not safe for intended use.

the directions were pretty difficult to go off of since I have never ...
I just set up my bell tent yesterday....the directions were pretty difficult to go off of since I have never sent up a tent in my life but I had some family members assist me and once I had the tent up I was so pleased! It is great quality and so big and spacious inside. I love it so far...I think with a little practice I will be able to assemble and disassemble by myself fairly easily...I plan on living in this for six months and I think it will be lovely! I pre treated it for rain and bad weather by hosing it down after i set it up...I plan on leaving another review after a bit more usage to give you an idea of how living in this tent actually is and how it holds up....but so far I am very happy!

Four seasons approved lol
The canvas has held up to all four seasons, rain, snow, high winds. It’s easy to setup with one person 2 people to make it easier. It does leak a little bit but with canvas it has to be wet to stretch it out to be waterproof. And it’s comfortable inside with all the space especially if living off grid. The zipper on the doors lasted for about 9 months before breaking off. The stove jack is a little small and the 3 sections of where the stove pipe comes out should be reinforced with thicker material of fire resistant material without using flex seal rubber paint to coat that area. Not gonna complain to much considering it’s going to last another winter till I get my house built. I hope this helps anyone who is looking for a cheap tent.

Very well built and easy to set up
Set this up for the first time the other day. It rained an inch that night and the next day with some gusty winds. Not one drop of water inside the tent. No issues with the high winds and everything is constructed very well. Easiest set up I’ve ever had with a canvas tent! From the box to completely set up in under 30 minutes (tying the guy lines took the most time) only complaint is the pockets that hold the door frame could be fully sewn so the pole doesn’t slip through. Other than that can’t wait to get out and use it!

Great
Been using it for 2 months now during 40*F weather. I did alot of research on cold weather camping prior to setup. A thick tarp was laid down first. After setup i covered the floor with fluffy carpets (i have 4 5' by 3' (this also protects the floor from furniture). I added a layer of "alien" bubble insulation around the walls (30') and finally a layer of tarp over the top...all to help retain heat. With my Mr buddy on low setting (4000btu) it stays 70*F the whole night. I went with a twin size bed...14" off the floor (higher off the floor the warmer) this also allows my dog to have her own spot under me (which she is used to). The mattress is 8"...so 22" off the ground and this is the highest the walls will allow. The RV park i am at does not allow wood stove...so I can't speak on that. It have held up against 20mpr gusts no problem and a the lite rain we had stayed out. It does get hot during the day. 70* outside will be 85 inside...unless you have all the screens open. If you use it in the winter be sure to have a heat source...without a heat source it will eventually be the same temp inside as outside. Also if you use a heater you'll want a humidifier...otherwise you'll find yourself battling sore throats and colds. I had this problem til I did my research. I went with a 40W Jackery solar system which powers my phone, laptop, and humidifier all 3x before needing more sun. I also invest in $40 solar inside lights...with remote! The remote is the best thing ever! And more motion sensor solar lights around the tent to scare off the coyotes (they don't come anymore at all be cause of the lights) It'll take figuring out...but overall real happy with this 13'!
