Its great bang for the buck
I bought this for an airsoft full scale m14 that im building into a dmr. Bear in mind that this is a BIG scope. its also heavy for those of you with an already heavy gun. I can shoulder it for a while but this is a 3 pound scope on a 14 pound gun. Parallax is great up to about 12x magnification, after that it gets really blurry even when i set it to 200 yards to infinity. Better off using it under 14x or purchasing a scope for this price that has a magnification of 12x. As far as the build goes, its pretty darn good! The reticle ilumination is helpful in dark areas and the reticle is crisp and clear. Eye relief is a bit poor you have about 1 inch of head movement any direction until you cant see jack through it. But, overall, its solid. I wont return it but I would recommend spending this same money on one just a little bit lower powered. I needed the 16x for long range spotting as this is my only gun at the moment and you have to be aware. 16x doesnt work very well as eye relief is horrid at that magnification. Plus parallax makes it blurry etc no matter how much I focus it. Best I can get it is to focus on a small wifi dish on my barn thats roughly 300 yards from my house. focused it on the neighbors house a quarter mile away and was able to make out a window but thats about as great detail as youll get for a budget scope of course. Cudos to the pinty team for making the scope available to most people, but personally Id get one of their higher quality optics.

Nice scope for the price, Great customer service by Banyan Imports
This is an edited review. I originally only gave 3 stars because one of the two scopes I ordered came used, with missing components. Shortly after my review was posted on amazon, I was contacted by the seller, with an offer to correct the issue. 1st and foremost, I need to mention that AMAZON messed this up, not Banyan Imports. Orders for these Pinty scopes from Banyan are fulfilled by Amazon. Regardless of the Amazon error, Banyan took ownership, and offered to replace the used scope with a new one. They must have had it in process, because I responded with a yes please on Saturday Dec 6th,in the evening. Sunday Banyan sent me notification they would send out the new scope with an expected arrival in 3 to 7 business days. Today (Dec 8th) the new scope arrived. Hats off to Banyan for such great customer support. I did mount the previous NIB scope on a .308 CZ 557 Carbine, and ran 60 rounds of ammo thru the rifle. The scope performed nicely. Has very bright optics, good focus and parallax adjustment. The product picture is out of date, as all the scopes I have received thus far have 1/4 MOA adjustments. The illuminated reticle is bright and clear. When I need another scope, I will buy another of these from Banyan.

Nice entry level scope.
I mounted the scope on a 308 but soon discovered that the scope didn’t like the recoil and kept losing zero. I remounted the scope on my 223 (5.65) and it kept zero and operated as expected. Can’t beat the price.

Very good scope for the money.
I currently have this scope mounted on a Ruger American Rimfire in .22LR. At 50 yards, I'm practically stacking the shots on top of each other, so it holds zero very well on a .22. Resettable turrets are nice, and being able to make adjustments without messing up zero is awesome. However I will say this, at least on my scope, the turret markings don't always line up with the clicks. For example, I adjusted 24 clicks up, which should put me at 6 MOA. However, it was only to 5.5 MOA. You can see as you turn the knob that the adjustment will sometimes rest in between values on the turret, and it became obvious to me that it would not adjust correctly with respect to the actual click values. By the way, the scope click values are clearly listed as 1/4 MOA on the turrets, not the 1/2 MOA shown in the pictures. As far as the MRAD reticle, 1 Mil at 50 yards is approximately 1.75 inches. So I tested this with a strip of tape whose edge was 1.75 inches away from the edge of the paper on a target 50 yards away, and they lined up perfectly. So I can confirm that mil-dots are truly 1 Mil apart at the 9x magnification setting. In the scope of things, the turret issue isn't that big of a deal. If you just rely on click values like I did to test the turrets in the first place, you don't even need to use them. However they are a HUGE help in returning to original zero after adjusting. Even though the intermittent adjustments to the scope will be off, as long as you align the zero mark with the line up point when resetting the turret, the zero will always line up when returned back. You could technically remove that issue entirely and just use the mil-dot reticle to do holdovers. Illumination is good, while 3 colors seem a little unnecessary to me personally, it is very useful in lowlight and dusk scenarios. Adjustable objective is stiff, but not too stiff. Just the right amount of torque required to turn it if you ask me. Also, for the folks wondering about how to attach the sunshade, you have to remove the small ring in the end of the objective lens first, then screw in the sunshade in its place. You can then put the protective ring on the other end of the sun shade, this is why the sunshade is threaded on both ends. Overall, I don't see how you could do better for the price point. The only issue I could find with it was the turret markings being misaligned with the actually click values. Seems to be very robustly built, and the light transmission is excellent for a 1" tube. The rings that come with it are a mile too high for a bolt action however. If you have a flat top receiver such as and AR pattern rifle, those would probably work fine. Pinty gets an A from me with this one.

Reasonable quality at a great price.
Received in good order. First impression was sunshade whatever for? I’m no sniper, well I have seen better rings. nice turrets, nice clarity at 3x, average clarity at anything above 5x, barely acceptable clarity 9x. Lighted reticle nice feature. My husband mounted it on my Ruger American in 270, simple operation. Bore sighted and off to the “pit” to do the final zero. First shot was a a little low to the left at 100 yards, a couple of clicks of adjustment and next shot through the “X”. Fired a total of 20 shots, at 100 yards all with in a 3” circle. Which for elk hunting is acceptable, considering my rifle and my shooting abilities. My husband has always told me if you can hit a dessert plate at 100 yards it’s acceptable for hunting. This is a replacement scope after taking a tumble last season antelope hunting and basically destroying a expensive Nikon scope, now I understand why my husband always uses a inexpensive scope on this hunting rifle. In the 25 years I have been hunting, the longest shot I have taken was 100 paces. Husband told me if I wounded an animal I was going to track it down until I put it down, so I never take long shots.

Pleasantly surprised.
Ordered this Pinty scope for my airsoft sniping kit. The glass is surprisingly clear, but the light up reticle options seem basically useless. Another thing to point out about them is that they can be seen from the target end of the scope. Thankfully, that’s not why I bought the scope. I wanted a scope that had all the proper adjustments and didn’t require the removal of a cap for adjustments in the field, and of course I wanted a sunshade. :) For myself the scope rings that come with are a little high, so I would recommend getting something slightly lower profile. All in all, a good scope for dirt cheap. I wouldn’t go putting it on a high power rifle, but for a 22 or 17 HMR this would be a decent pick. I’ll be using it for airsoft in which case it will be banged on and beat up and probably at some point submersed in who knows what. We’ll see how it does! I’ve also yet to test the light gathering which I don’t expect to be amazing. If I remember to, I will come back and edit my review after I’ve had the scope for a little longer.

Great Price!
My vision is not great so I look for mil dots when buying a scope. Original order messed up and I was sent 2, so I returned 1. After using it, I wish I had kept the extra 1. I love it, works as it should, nice and clear!

Failed within 100 rounds and I missed the email response from Banyan Imports.
Edited after response from Seller... I must apologize to Banyan Imports. In my initial review I stated that I had recieved no response from them to my original requests for assistance. I did in fact recieve a response on October 15th 2019 to my original request for help with this product but somehow I didn't recieve a notification and missed it. Banyan Imports has offered to replace the scope and I hope to do a side comparison with photos when the new scope arrives. I will further update this review at that time. Upon reciept of this product I mounted it on my 6.5 Grendel and took it to the range. 5 shots to zero, tracked well and was punching .825 to .950 5 shot groups in the bullseye at 100 meters repeatedly. I ran 40 rounds through the first day. Second range trip 3 weeks later had similar results. I was extremely impressed buy the accuracy, clarity and affordability of this Rifle scope. I transport and store the rifle in a hardcase and had no concerns with using this rifle for Deer, Antelope and Coyotes. A week prior to Missouri Firearms deer season I was sighting in another rifle for a friend and figured I would let him shoot a few out of the Grendel. I loaded 5 rounds and at 100 meters he shot a roughly 6 MOA Group with no two rounds striking the target in the same place. I shot 5 with the same result. By this time I had owned the Scope for a few months and could no longer return it through Amazon. I attempted to contact Banyan Imports through Amazon 3 times in the following weeks with no response. So I am leaving this review just to share my experience. Scope looked and performed great for 100 rounds on a light recoil platform, sat for 2 months and then shot craps.
