DoughLab is packed with fun, tasty, and educational experiments with yeast, dough, and bread. It comes with everything you need to perform over 5 experiments in you kitchen. You even race to your yeast to inflate the gloves. Once the gloves are waving at you, that's when you know your dough is ready for baking! Review: Great experiments - This was so great to do with my 10-year old daughter. We even tried the extra experiment and caught some wild yeast! The only suggestion I have is to lightly grease the tins before putting the dough in. She wants to try baking a whole loaf of bread now. if we could just find some yeast around here. Review: Good little learning kit - A great little kit to teach your kid about science and baking. Donโt expect everything to be high quality tasting but the lessons learned are there. A nice affordable gift for the aspiring baker or chef in your family.

Shipping sticker attached to the front of the box
This item is a birthday gift for great nephew so I disappointed that the shipping label was stuck on the front of the box. It was in great shape except for me trying to remove the shipping label and sticky stuff. It would have been better if the box was put inside another box for shipping so the label would not have been stuck to the Magical Microbes box.

Great Product!
This came with everything needed for the initial experiment plus other ideas to continue with after we were done! I know it says 8+, but with help my 6&3 year old really enjoyed doing this activity!

Fun with parents!
This was so much fun to do! My 11 yr old son and I did this together. We read the book first then walked through the experiment. He learned about basic scientific process and he now knows what variables and Constants are. It was very rewarding to try the end product too!

Perfect rainy day activity.
Bought as a birthday present for my seven year old STEM loving niece. She was excited to get it. Hopefully I'll get some toast out of the deal.

Proportion of water to make dough is WAY OFF
The directions for the first experiment say to add 150 mL of water to 200 mL (dry) flour. Then, โknead the doughโ. With this much water, you are left with a watery batter, not dough. We had to add all of the remaining flour plus extra to get our batter to turn to dough. Therefore, there is not enough flour in the kit to complete more than one experiment.
