Westcott Box Cutter Safety Ceramic Utility Knife (16475)

My Experience I mainly use this box cutter for opening packages and cutting cardboard. It’s lightweight, easy to grip, and the ceramic blade feels safer than traditional metal blades, especially for quick household use. The blade retracts smoothly and cuts cleanly through tape and boxes without snagging. These things are just perfect. I have one in every room or I might open a delivery. They are not sharp enough to cause you to bleed but they are sharp enough to cut through the tape on nearly any box. I have sent a few of these two family. The only thing I wish that could be improved would be the addition of a locking option. This works by pressing a lever forward to keep the blade out and sometimes it's difficult because of my arthritis. All in all I highly recommend these over a traditional box opener and definitely at this price.

Safer than the stainless steel blade utility knives, and more effective and faster for opening taped boxes and cutting boxes in pieces at work. This has been my favorite utility knife for a while now. Unfortunately, I keep misplacing them at work because I’d forget to bring it along with me every time I get moved to another department. At least it doesn’t cost more than $5 to replace. Still, wish I didn’t lose them before their lifespan was up. Pretty sure someone is happily using my lost ones. These are only good for boxes and don’t work too well if you don’t have a knife for shrink wrap with you. I like that it is very light. Speaking of, I think I left my knife somewhere out there again. Gotta reorder 😑😩 Was thinking of uploading a pic but I got nothing.

This is a good little cutter that remains sharp even after hundreds and hundreds of packages opened. I bought this little Westcott cutter for work and let me tell you what, it sure is sharp. It's extremely easy to use and the blade stays secure. The Down side is it only comes with one dual sided blade but it easy to change and I have yet to actually change mine. Green is my favorite color, so no complaints from that department either. There's a near the rear of the cutter that you could put retention device on, that's the only thing that would make this a better value (If it was included).

If you’re looking for a safer and easy way to open your packages this is it. We get a lot of deliveries and it’s held up just fine.

I love this safety knife that cuts extremely well and won't cut me!! I highly recommend it to anyone with a project, as I used it for hanging wallpaper and it did a fabulous job. UPDATE: The one negative to this knife is that you must manually push the button to keep the blade out. You cannot "lock" it into place so that it stays out as you are cutting. I still recommend due to the safety and great cutting, but that's become a pain point. It also very easily cuts your drywall when cutting wallpaper, so don't push too hard. It works almost too well!!

My favorite thing about this box cutter is the fact that it retracts on its own making it much safer than your typical box cutter. Bade feels like a nice thickness and not flimsy-like. A very easy to use cutter to keep in the junk drawer and use on packages!

Difficult to use. You have to keep constant pressure on the button to extend the blade, which makes it awkward to use. A locking mechanism would be better. I wouldn’t recommend it.

É bom e vai servir para o que eu quero que é usar em desenhos. Mas o ponto negativo é que ele não trava. Se eu tivesse visto os comentários anteriores, eu teria comprado de outra marca.
