Such a simple device to catch hair and avoid plummer bills. the device is easy to clean, easy to install and it seals in place in your sink drain. Just pull it out remove the hair and replace. Highly recommend.

I was shopping for a replacement for my bathroom sink drain stop when got broken. I came across the Sink Shroom during that search and decided to give it a try. At the time I bought it I was more concerned with finding something to temporarily block things from falling down the drain if accidentally dropped, but It turned out to be a handy replacement for two reasons. Not only does it fit easily to keep unwanted things out if the drain but it keeps the hair out of my drain too. My daughter and I both have long curly hair that always ends up in the drain no matter how much we try to avoid it. I used to have to use a long tool to dig those clumped up nasty strands out of the drain every week. The Sink Shroom catches those rouge hairs before they end up down deep in the drain. The middle of the Sink Shroom is a tube of sorts with holes in it that allow water to run into the tube and down the drain as the hair gets caught by the “shelf” at the bottom and wraps around the center. The top “shelf” blocks other things from going down the drain. Each week now all I do is take it out of the drain and use a Clorox wipe to pull the hair off and wipe off the Sink Shroom. 1 Star deducted because 1) over time black slime builds up. I’ve soaking overnight in bleach but it won’t come off. I ended up buy new after 1 year because I can’t stand the yuck after so long. 2) the drain empties slower then it could. This happens mainly because the bottom shelf if larger for my drain than needed. It does fit because there are strategic cuts in the silicone that allows the round shelf to bend upward on top of itself just enough to get a tight seal that fits well in my smaller drain. the bending also makes the holes in the shelf smaller due to over lap which really can slow down allowing less water to flow through. This is especially true as hair gets captured and starts to build up on the shelf. It would be nice if they could figure out a way to fix this issue as it would help eliminate a lot of the black slime that builds up too. I’d still recommend this product though. I’ll buy a new one every year if I need to.

A repeatedly purchased product, & very highly recommend! Especially for older homes, this handy tool is A+ imo, for capturing short/medium/long hairs + any shampoo/cond. clogs that squirt out- I clean/pull off anything collected following ea shower/my Fam does same. Hv older hardware; as I drop shower head latch, quickly pull out, remove easily collected circle of hair, drop into adjacent trash can fast-still hv a bit of water draining to rinse fingers. Mine hv lasted 2-3 yrs b4 nding replacement. Great product-lasts longer than less $ version. I clean product wkly, along w/ tub/shwr, a spray of vinegar/drop of Dawn/water- No buildup, + lger home pipes stay clear! 5️⃣⭐️’s

First I need to say that I'm not the type of person to provide reviews on products, so with me doing this, it must be a really good product. It is one of those that I've told all my family and friends about. Likes: If your sink gets clogged easily because of hair, you should buy this hair catcher, it is great! You have to remove your sink stopper, but then this just pushes down into the drain and you pull it out to clear the hair from it. Very easy to clean. The hair wraps around the far end of the silicone core and you just pull it off and reinsert the catcher in the drain. My sink runs clear all the time now. I purchased the silver colored one and although the top is painted plastic, it looks nice in the sink. It is bigger than the stopper in our other sink, but it doesn't bother me. It looks like one of those oversized stoppers that they tend to sell more of today. The core feels to be a silicone type material. You can get the catcher is different colors to match your faucet. Disadvantage: You do have to remove your stopper from the sink permanently, as long as you want to use this product. It wasn't a big deal for myself, since we have a double sink vanity. If I need to stop up a sink, I can always stop up the other sink.

This does the job of catching hair that would otherwise fall down the sink, but not without a downside, at least in my drain. I have an ordinary sink which is 30 years old, so not new, but it has a standard sized drain. This gadget fits down inside it fine, but the water doesn't drain out of the sink fast enough so it pools and frankly that's gross when I'm brushing my teeth. It does drain, just doesn't empty the sink speedily. While it catches hair, it isn't effective catching other things I noticed. I dropped a pill which fell down the drain and even though I carefully removed the plug hoping to retrieve it, the pill just fell off and on down the drain. If you dropped a contact, you'd have to wait for all the water to drain out of the sink and oh, so carefully remove this plug and pray. Even pushing it down into the drain all the way won't keep a contact from slipping under the bowed rim. I've also tried to push it down fully compressing the tabs on either side to supposedly plug the drain, but that doesn't work as it doesn't create a solid stopper. I've fiddled with it endlessly trying to find a position where it allowed the water to drain properly, but to no avail. I do appreciate that it's a cleaner alternative to the groddy old plug that was in the sink from the beginning, and can even be washed and refreshed as needed,. I've learned to reduce the water flow considerably which allows the water to drain and not pool in the sink, and I suppose that's good too, but I wouldn't rebuy this item. Perhaps for newer (or older) units, or just a different sink style, it's perfect, but not for me. I'll continue to use it until I find something better.

I like these better then the ones with the silver top. It stays cleaner. Will buy again.

The TubShroom we purchased at the same time as this SinkShroom was a substantial, metal product that works well and will likely last a long time. The SinkShroom, however, was a major disappointment. Made entirely of a dollar's worth of material, some of the fins at the bottom broke off just getting the product out of the package. I cannot recommend the Sink Shroom at all.

Tenia tiempo esperando que estuvieran disponible en Mex el SinkShroom y el ShowerShroom. Por fin los tengo y funcionan genial!! Se me cae pelo en la ducha como si fuera un gato, esta cosa ya me salvo de tener que estar poniendo quimicos al drenaje de la regadera que eventualmente iban a dañar la plomeria. Muy efectivo y muy facil de limpiar. 100% recomendable!.

Funciona bien. En mi caso no deja entrar nada, aunque drena muy lento. No es super duradero, pero al ser de un material suave, se adapta bien a mi lavamanos

I liked how it was a rubbery material and it catches hair. I don’t like how water doesn’t drain very quickly.Be warned, it may not allow the water to drain quickly enough. I fixed that by letting the metal-ball string thing (part of my bathtub) stay underneath it which makes a small gap. I can wash my hair without having to worry about hair going down. Easy to clean, some hair gets tangled up but easy to manage

I do love it. It Works! Like other people have already mentioned it does slow the drainage in the sink, but not by a lot - and it does catch the hair, which is perfect since I end up blowing my hair dry/styling my hair in and around that sink, so there can be a significant amount of loose hairs over time. This little do-dad works perfectly, and catches my hair! No more plugged sinks! And I can take them with me when it's time to move!
