Good value, works fine - free nut!?!
Locking adjustable wrench for when you don't want to absue the nuts you're trying to take off in the way mole grips (locking pliers) do. Seems to be decent quality, they're a standard 8" adjustable wrench size, but with the addition of the locking mechanism. This mean you can clamp onto a nut really hard if it's starting to round at the edges. Bit more bulky than a standard set, but usable just the same. Worthwhile addition to the tool box! Not quite sure why it comes with a single nut in the jaws, wouldn't buy for the "free" nut ;-) Bought when on offer and was good value.

Amazing tool!
I was really amazed by this tool as it allows you hold the nut/bolt really tightly with the vice grip locking feature! Adjustable spanners normally develop play when used over time, and they will slip under high tourqe however, this tool solves that issue by very tightly holding onto the fixing and eliminating any slip!

Nice design
Never used this type of wrench before, so after checking out couple of YouTube videos, decided to try this as this looks to be an interesting design. Upon receipt, tried to unscrew more than 10 years old stubborn tap cartridge and it was unsuccessful and damaged it. Not a problem with this tool, but the nut itself is very tight and rusted. Tool was not damaged. So, it's better than a normal wrench, but I think I need a good quality box spanner. I'm sure this will be very handy in my toolbox anyway. Hope this helps.

Forget other adjustable spanners. Excellent tool for a vice like grip.
In converting a paint pot to a pressure pot recently I had planned to remove a valve from the lid, and neither metric spanners nor imperial spanners adequately fitted the unusual 12.75mm distance between flats of the valve nut. I padded a 13mm spanner with a washer and managed to loosen the valve a half turn or so, but this bodged approach soon failed and started rounding off the brass nut. After reviewing options I invested in this tool, and it's great! There's always some play in the jaws of regular adjustable spanners, and with the brass nut already the worse for wear, a regular adjustable spanner would likely have been no better than my 13mm spanner and rounded the nut even further, losing all resemblance to a hexagon. This tool however removes all the play when the lever is squeezed and locked in place, giving a vice like grip with the jaws and working perfectly. Now as it turns out this was all an unnecessary exercise as I didn't need to remove the valve after all, so I tightened it back with this instead of removing, but happy that I've got a new tool that I'm sure will come in handy in the future. It's a low cost tool, but construction wise it seems fine for moderate use. The only thing I found in use was to remember to open the trigger fully before tightening. After using the lever to release the grip the trigger only opens about half way, and using the trigger when already partly closed, it doesn't really do anything and the jaws would still be loose. I cannot see any reason to purchase an adjustable spanner that does not have the tightening mechanism.

The perfect adjustable spanner?
There are some tools I uhm and ahh over for quite a while, before maybe or maybe not buying them. This tool was not one of those tools. As soon as I saw this tool on Amazon I bought it immediately. Naturally I've been rewarded by such impulsiveness by it dropping in price slightly shortly after my purchase. Such is life! If you've ever used an adjustable spanner on a job, you'll know that all too often, they slip off when under load, and as a result you can easily end up damaging the nut or bolt head, and usually end up damaging your knuckles. So you rummage around in your tool box and find a mole wrench. Now the mole wrench will definitely lock onto the hexagonal head, even after it's been damaged by the adjustable spanner, but the chances are you'll damage it even more. Of course the best thing to do would have been to use the correct size socket or ring spanner for the job, but sometimes they are not to hand when you need to do the job, and so you make do with what you have. This tool combines the benefits of the adjustable spanner and the mole wrench, and removes the downsides of both, leaving you with an excellent all in one solution that won't damage your nut/bolt when used. The downsides of this tool are that while it looks and feels as robust as a mole wrench, it really isn't. The locking force is applied through the threads of the knurled adjusting helix, which is up to the job, but you'll have to be sensible about how much force you use to lock onto your hex head. An adjustable spanner is seldom the best tool for the job, but sometimes they can get you out of a tight spot. This tool is an excellent adjustable spanner, albeit quite a bit bulkier than a more traditional adjustable spanner. I just love the fact this thing exists. It's a very neatly implementation of a great idea, and like some crazed magpie of a mechanic, I just had to have the nice shiny tool. A correctly-fitting socket or spanner will almost always be the best way to tighten or loosen a nut or bolt, so it's worth asking yourself why you think this tool will serve you better than the correct sized spanner or socket. Buy this because you want it, not because you need it. My 5* rating reflects the fact that I love this ingenious hybrid spanner, and the much the same product from an alternative brand is a lot more expensive.

Adjustable spanner that actually grips.
Genius idea that fixes the main flaw with most adjustable spanners: it's impossible to get a tight grip on the nut or bolt. A mole grip style mechanism allows this tool to be properly clamped on. It works flawlessly.

Hochwertige Verarbeitung
