Not quite magic, but invaluable for old hardened gaskets
Unfortunately this won't magically melt gaskets as you may hope (I sure did). But I work on very old motorcycles, and some of the gaskets may as well be made of rock. Once the bulk of the gasket is scraped off, this remover will soften what's left over after sitting for 30-45 minutes. This is also a great paint stripper, so I prefer daubing it on rather than spraying. After waiting for a while, a razor has a much easier time removing the leftover gasket. Particularly stubborn gaskets need 2-3 rounds of remover and razor blade, but it's still miles better than the razor blade alone.

Saved me hours of scraping
This stuff is great, it helped me get a plastic gasket melted to a head on a motorcycle that looked like it was going to be a total loss & have to replace the head but instead I let this stuff soak & in 30 minutes the head was as good as new.

It works!
Long time favorite for clean-up. It does take off more than old gaskets and adheasives. Allow a little more soak time than recommended on the can.

Great but not Magic
I purchased this to remove the head gasket and the crankcase gasket on my 1975 Honda CB 550 F SS. I've read some reviews where it is like a miraculous eater of gaskets that if left on long enough it will turn gaskets into liquid and you can remove them just with the wipe of a towel. While that "might be true" for some people, it definitely wasn't the case fore me. I did a few tests with it to see what the optimum time would be to let the gaskets "soak". I shook it up like a paint can (rattle can) to make sure it would have a smooth and even spray and saturated the gaskets with an even amount of the white foam. *First I let them soak for about an hour. Didn't have the "wipe off" effect. (They were softer however). I cleaned them off. *Soaked for 6 Hours. Still didn't have the "wipe off" effect. (About the same softness as an 1 hr). *Soaked them for 4 days. They foam dried up, which on the can it recommends that for removing paint, so I was pretty hopeful that the gasket would be very easy to remove. However, they weren't. There was gasket residue I was trying to remove from the head gasket, but even this method didn't nothing to remove them. Even with all of this soaking the gasket residue was still there and as solid as ever, but the crank case gasket was getting softer. I decided to use the SOAK FOR AN HOUR and SCRAPE WITH PLASTIC SCRAPERS method to remove the gasket left on the crank case. Honestly, this worked, it took a lot of time (about 8 hrs to get everything to a perfect mirror smoothness), but honestly worth it. While this isn't a miracle spray to destroy gaskets (might have been because my gaskets are as old as sin or something), but it is a great additive to help remove them quicker. Also a huge added bonus, it kills carbon deposits like a champ which should be advertised. The fact that it is a thick foam lets it cling to the pistons and valves and it eats the carbon right off them MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the carbon cleaner I purchased at a local auto parts store. OVERALL due to the fact that this isn't the miracle gasket remover and I don't see anyway it would work in the 10 - 15 minutes advertised on the can, but it did redeem itself as an additive and carbon slayer I'm giving it a 4 out of 5. ALSO, I'm going to post pictures of the gasket residue, gaskets, and carbon deposits (before and after) to help anyone else out in buying this product, because there's almost zero info anywhere about this stuff.

Takes more than a few applications
It's ok. Need to let sit for awhile and chean as much gasket as you can off. Then use again over and over.

Heaven in a can! Seriously this stuff works better than carburetor cleaner!!
Works amazing, better than carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner that dissolves before I get to use something in conjunction with it. I can spray it on a gasket, and leave it for 15 minutes and it's still there waiting for me! Best thing is it works perfectly with a roloc pad and removes EVERY BIT OF THE GASKET! I took pictures of a 350 small block with the original head gaskets on the bottom end of the engine (before and after). As you can see it DESTROYS the gasket but not the plastic roloc pad. Couldn't believe it! Will only be using this product for gasket removal, it just works better than anything I have ever used (and I've tried everything from mineral spirits to pinesol to remove gaskets and everything in between)!
