Nostalgia
I enjoy the Dynasty Warriors series and this one was rather difficult because when you get into it you feel as though you have to work rather hard to level up your characters to be able to even finish a story mode given the fact that there are also hidden stages much harder to find and complete than back in the previous installment. I really enjoyed this challenge and my goodness it took me a long time to figure out how to unlock all of the characters despite being a wee child but the hack and slash game still appeals to me even now as a college student!

Histerical Accuracy
Most accurate depiction of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms! Don't believe all those others out there. Also, Lu Bu isn't that bad of a guy. Suck it George R. R. Martin!

Best of the classic DW series
My and wife I played this game years ago when we still had our PS2. This game is a classic. A perfect mix of history (not totally accurate, but good enough for a game) and gameplay. While my wife was interested in the hack and slash concept, I was driven by strategy and storyline.

Probably one of the best in the series
Dynasty Warriors 4 is definitely one of the best in the series. It's not exactly welcoming to new players, but there is a lot of fun to be had once one figures out the combat system. While it certainly lacks the polish of more recent games, this is the point the series really began to develop (before it began regressing again.) Still, the game's solid and not overly difficult to play. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who didn't enjoy this style of play.

Quick Nostalgia
My partner had an extreme nostalgic need to play this game again and I was pleasantly surprised to find it available and for under $30!!! Took a gamble and the game we received was completely like new, ran smoothly and has continued to bring joy to a kid at heart!
