I like them for the kids. The fact that the sides are NOT made out of metal rings like most of them is good to avoid scratching tables. And the book can lay flat without having the big metal ring in the middle. A bit more expensive, but well worth it.

This item was exactly what we needed for school. Skip the brick and mortar store because the book is thin for a backpack. The binding keeps the pages secure.
