National Geographic Readers: Great Migrations Butterflies

This brief review updates much new information about these butterflies, and it does it with graphics and photos that educate and enthrall. Purchased for grandchildren in the 6-8 year range, it is an easy read but enjoyable and very educational. Especially helpful are the vocabulary glossaries and the charts. I was quite surprised to read some of the recent research results. It definitely is a good choice for older readers too, allowing you to quickly understand and learn while enjoying. Highly recommend!

This is small but a very good book on the Monarch Butterfly. It has more info then larger books I had in the past. It is great for a curious child to read and view the pictures.

The photos are stunning and very interesting and easy to read facts on every page. Although technically for children I bought this for my mother with dementia and it is her favorite. I enjoyed it myself as well.

National Geographic is a great brand of children's books to read to a classroom. My students like the simple jokes that are found on a few of the pages. This book is also helpful when teaching about non fiction attributes such as glossary, labels, table of contents, etc.

We used this book during our Distance Learning school. It was a great book for my 3yo, 6yo, and 10yo. Its very informative and has bright pictures.

This book is missing some "Weird but True" facts. The index reference does not match all the pictures. The "10 Cool Things About Monarchs" also has matching issues. However, overall this book is a great read for children.

Awesome book! Between the pictures and text, it would be interesting to a wide range of ages. My granddaughter is 1st grade & she loved a NatGeo Kids magazine I picked up a couple weeks ago, (first I had seen). I can't wait to give her this. I decided to order direct from Amazon rather than do the subscription based on numerous reviews concerning subscription/renewal issues. It is full of info & pictures & is gift quality!
