Best Dehydrator I've used
Sorry for the length but since nobody has reviewed yet... Ok, so we've come a long way since the dehydrators of my childhood. This machine is beautiful, and would look nice to just sit on the counter regularly if you have the space. I've already tested it out on an apple and it's brilliantly simple to use. The recipe book is nice too and my wife and I are already planning some turkey jerky for later tonight! I am posting pictures as well to clarify a few things. It changes temps in increments of 9 degrees. This makes for some strange numbers (I did my apples at 131F) but there's no reason why you'd need finer tuned temperatures, that I can see. The manual indicates that the far right side of the panel displays "remaining time". This is not the simplest way to phrase what is displayed. It actually counts up in hours until the number of hours programmed is completed. (This makes no difference for the actual use of the product, hence still 5 stars; But, it may make you think the machine isn't working since it says "time remaining 00H" for the whole first hour. After an hour, it says "remaining time 01H" See pics.) Since I'm sure some moron is going to say it smells terrible like plastic (because some moron always says this about every plastic product) I'll say it first. When you open it, it smells like plastic. When you first turn it on, it smells like plastic. BUT IT GOES AWAY after half an hour. Seriously. And I didn't even wash the trays (the manual says you should) and the apples were delicious. Show me a plastic product that doesn't smell when you get it. One other thing, There are actually 11 trays. ten regular ones and an extra with rods in it to hang meats and salami. :) Pros: Even Reliable Dehydrating, Looks beautiful to complement Kitchen Price is great for what you get Set and Forget Cons: Confusingly phrased "remaining time" Overall: Go for it. Best product I've seen for the price, by far. (I'll throw this in as well: Great customer service. When I thought it wasn't working because of the remaining time thing, they were ready to replace the unit on the spot. But it was unnecessary (see above)

High hopes initially dashed for Gourmia dehydrator.
So yesterday I put sliced apples in the dehydrator for 12 hrs. At 158 degrees, the default setting. They were to be done about 4:30 am. I'm up at 3 am and the unit is off. I think apples are ready. NO WAY! Not even close. Still 1 3/4 hrs to go on stove timer. I guess I should have realized that it was not going to be smooth sailing when I plugged in the unit. It came on and the fan started and very shortly you could feel the unit warming up. However, the rapid flashing of he display panel should have warned me. After about 30-45 minutes the flashing stopped anew the lights stopped flashing and were steadily on. The timer was on and I the unit continued as we went to bed. We were unable to get the control panel to allow me to increase or decrease the time or the temperature. Next concern is that; Why can't fit the price of this unit I can't put the trays in the dishwasher to clean them? I want to wash them and am not needing to dry them by the dishwashers dryer. Lastly, the manual could use some improvements. I want a users manual, not a bunch of glossy pictures . Ok for a few recipe suggestions. Do you know how many recipes are on the internet for the dehydrators? A lot! Summary: 1. Poor display and ability to use control panel. 2. Trays can't go in the dishwasher. 3. User manual nearly worthless. Finally, I transferred the apple slices to my OLD Harvest Maid (now NESCO) dehydrator to finish the apples. No timer but I have several options there. Easy temp control. I slide a temperature probe into the center and can the temperature throughout the drying time. I hope the supplier and I can work this out. If we can I'll add the outcome to this review. So the unit was returned and received a replacement. This unit is working fine and the temperature is fine. Did some pear slice on it but they needed a little more time. Blueberries fall thru the openings in the tray. Unless they are large blueberries I wouldn't dehydrate them in this unit-needs fineeah screens. Oh and yes the tray and inside of unit cleaned up easily without much effort. I still feel trays and rack should be dishwasher safe and manual is an embarrassment. Changing to 5 stars because of great customer service.

Don't buy this brand
I bought this dehydrator for my son. It worked well for about 6-8 months. It began giving an intermittent error code Er1 at startup, that was cleared by turning of and on, After 16 months (past warrantee), it just quit , with the Er1 code on. Nowhere could I find the meaning of the code. I contacted the company and was told it meant a "sensor error" and I could send it back for repair for a starting cost of $25 and me covering all shipping. It is now in the landfill.

Decent
Worked great for about 4 uses. Then the digital display on the top went out and had to return it. Maybe I got a dud. It also didn't cook very evenly. Had to rotate the trays around. Ultimately we returned it and got a different model by the same company (which has the blower in the back instead of the bottom, and has a drip-tray) and it's much better.

I have been wanting a dehydrator for a while now and am so happy I finally made the purchase!! Due to diet restrictions, I can no longer purchase dried fruit because store bought usually contains sulphites and/or vegetable oils. This dehydrator is easy to use and efficient, and I know there is no unwanted ingredients in my homemade dried fruit. It is large enough to do big batches, but light and small enough to store in your kitchen.

For the price of this unit I have to say I am very impressed. Was worried when I had read some of the negative reviews but found that there was no problem with the unit I received. Runs very quiet and does a great job on jerky and dried fruits I have been doing.

Works great and is very quiet. Temperature control doesn’t allow for complete control - it goes between preset temps (for example: from 149F to 140F to 131F to 122F) so I can’t select 125F. Highest temp is 158F, lowest is 104F. The trays were also a disappointment with holes to big (1.3cmx1.3cm) to dry things like peas an corn without having to line the trays with parchment paper and the large hole in the middle of each tray is in the way. I will probably be looking into getting a better one☹️

Overall a good product. I only gave 3 stars because the one I received was used: it was dirty, scratched, was missing parts, and had a funky smell when I first turn it on. It's OK after a good cleaning. Fortunately, I plan on using it in my shop to dry filament spools for my 3D printers rather than for food. It runs quietly and is easy to set up. The drying cavity is HUGE - another plus for this unit. For the price, I was expecting a few more features like a built-in hygrometer and better quality materials (it's all plastic), but it does the job I purchased it for. If you're planning on buying this unit, wait until it goes on sale.
