can you use this to make molds?

Problematic...it can distort while drying and doesn't vive enough elasticity to make it worthwhile. It can break and may not pick up the detail you likely want. Also takes a long time to cure if too thick and is likely to distort. Great for sculpting but can dry unevenly causing distortion. There are far better things to use for molds.

What is the consistency like? Is this softer to work with than modeling or polymer clay?

Yes, this is much softer than normal clay.

What kind of dye is best to knead into with the white for colors?

Any sort of pigment powder would help. But your better off just making what you want. Then painting after. It would be easier and would add more detail to it

For the black and white clay package, do I get 2/300g containers or 2/1500g containers? (Img represents 1.5kg and price is similar too)
