Remo E1-0316-00 Buffalo Drum - Standard, 16"

These drums have a great sound. really a great travel drum as they are built very rugged. As an aside, I paint mine with high flow type acrylics which act a lot like water colors but are waterproof and don’t deaden the sound of the drum. I bet inks would work too. I like the 16” the best to travel. However the 22” has the biggest sound by far.

Very nice deep base sound and the drum is comfortable to play. Nice hand grip in the back and the Fiberskyn, which stays in tune, has a texture that makes it look like real animal hide.

Love the sound, how easy it is to hold and play, and the overall look. My only disappointment is that the REMO logo appears in black ink prominently on the face of the drum and on the handle of the mallet which makes an otherwise lovely design appear a bit cheap -- but there are blogs online for how to remove them if so desired.

I ordered this drum for my sound healings. Based off the reviews, I felt like it was gonna be the best one for the price. Plus, I loved that it was vegan. Boy oh boy this drum! This is seriously one of the coolest drums and sound I have ever heard. It echoes fantastically and it’s deep. It’s Definitely therapeutic and it vibrates in the most amazing sound. I can’t even say enough great things about it. This is perfect for shamanic journeying. I tried to capture it on video, but it does not do it justice. It’s even more special in person.

This drum arrived really quickly and sounds amazing! The only reason for 4.5 stars is it came with what looks like a sharpie marking on the skin of the drum…I’m not sure what happened and assume someone accidentally drew on it while packaging the drum. If it didn’t have a funky sharpie marking on it I would definitely give it a 5 star rating!! Pictured is the sharpie drawing on the drum. I am a sound healer and currently have an elk skin drum that I use for sessions, but the quality of sound changes so drastically depending on humidity levels that it wasn’t reliable for a nice ringing rich tone. This one sounds similar but will not change due to temperature and humidity! I’m super excited to try it out in sessions and sound baths! *edit* I contacted the seller directly and they instructed me to exchange the drum and said that was very unexpected and should not have been sent to me in that condition. They were super helpful and I will be sending the drum back and getting a new one! Edit again: I got the new one really quickly and sent out the one that had sharpie on it! The new one sounds great and is in perfect condition! Back to 5 stars!

Love my drum. Too humid here for a natural skin but this drum is a great substitute!

I ordered a drum that had been previously returned. At half the price, I was willing to take the risk. It arrived in perfect condition, in original packaging. No defects to drum, packaging was a little worse for wear, but who cares? Nice, deep sound. Light enough to hold for extended periods. Attractive, except for the very prominent logo on both the drum head and beater. I painted the beater black with acrylics. I've been using a Mr. Clean magic eraser on the drumhead logo with good effect. The logo is 80% erased after 25 minutes of scrubbing, another 20 minutes and I'm sure it will be gone completely. :) No damage at all to head. Very pleased with purchase.

When I hit the drum, I can feel a strong vibration and a powerful positive energy surrounding me.
