good in water and does have lots of regular features
this phones important features like notifications on chat or even messages has just stopped even thought in settings they are all turned off. all was fine for awhile but suddenly notifications just stopped. plus i get a call when the phone rings the screen does not allow me to see the answering icons and therefore i cannot answer the call...i have to go in later and see who called and call them back. at least it still allows calls and chat and msgs...i just have to go in and see is anyone there...the notification dot no longer appears..wow. but for this cheap price i dont really to much mind all these ridiculous inconviences. i hope not many more functions begin to go away or stop working. one thing this phone takes an extra long time to charge up too. i will keep it because it water proof and shock proof and cost little of nothing compared to other phones and so far it DOES work as a phone...all this was my ignorant mistake...i finally found out that i had accidentally turned on the DO NOT DISTURB function....soon as i turned that off all notifications worked just fine....my total bad...lol

Not worth it!
When I got this phone I thought wow that's a nice looking phone also I was able to use it with my qlink Sim card so that was definitely a plus but I used the phone for about 3 or 4 days and it ended up powering off and I haven't been able to turn it on since. I though maybe it was dead but it wouldn't even charge so I thought maybe it was the charger or plug in so I tried different ones and nope nothing helps. I am very disappointed because it really is a nice looking phone but I am sadly now in the process of return in hopes to get my money back because even tho it looks nice it is useless and I need to be able to use it. I would not recommend this phone!

Quality Phone that works with TMobile / QLink
I was able to remove the SIM card from my Motorola and insert it into the Plum Gator 7 and it worked immediately, with TMobile and QLink as of July 2022. The screen states it is using 4G and VOLTE. This phone is heavy and feels durable. I did not notice any pre installed, unwanted Apps. The one problem I had is the plastic cover for the recharging port. The cover is hard to fit, but I would think that also makes it more resistant to water. I use google voice when around my internet connection, and had problems hearing one other person. I don't think it is the phone's fault, because most calls work fine. A great phone, though I have only had it a week. I did find tempered glass for it, but not a protective case. I realize the phone itself is supposed to be durable, but I like to protect a phone as much as possible.

This phone is not allows you to use your SimCard contact, also does not have the way access the ap menu. It has a poor quality.

Not compatible with AT&T
Phone is not compatible with AT&T. I bought it because the description said it was, but I was unable to make/receive calls. Had to return the phone and get another one.

VoLTE, 4G and great battery life
I bought this for my mother who wanted a rugged phone. I used a Red Pocket mobile sim card that uses T-Mobile network. 4G works great. VoLTE works great. Easily get two days battery. Supports all T-Mobile 4G bands. Just for fun tried it with a At&t sim card, 4G data works, Text works. No VoLTE. Phone only supports 2 of the 3 4G bands required by AT&T. Verizon sim card. 4G Data worked. No voice (it dials out but get a message that says not available on my calling plan. I think VZW blocks devices not on their approved list sometimes.) Phone only support 4 of 7 VZW 4G bands.

Love 💗 Plum
Bought 1 in October and another this past week. Both now on Mint Mobile which runs off TMobile. Mint mobile also has 7 day trail sim card plan you can buy at Best Buy for $2. Best service I ever had and by far the cheapest. Put the sim card in phone, called 1800# for Mint Mobile. Took about 3-4 mins to set up without any hassle. Also... When connected showed 4g volte for signal. Before these 2 Gator 7 had 2 Gator 4 I bought about 5 years ago. I love Plum... Can't imagine having another phone.

If you rely on event reminders or expect support ...
I tend to use tech until it no longer works, so the Gator 7 sounded like a good choice, right? I count on a couple things from my cellphone: appointment/event reminders to keep me on schedule, and that the hardware works as advertised. Both of those ended up being ... ahh ... SO disappointing! I discovered after some testing that roughly 30% of the time there's no audio alert generated for programmed event reminders, and in 1/4 of those cases, a notification is not generated at all ... no bubble, nothing in the notification bar or history ... nothing!! Then, there's the hardware ... should be solid, right? Specs indicated SD card memory expansion up to 128GB, so I obtained and installed a premium 128GB SDXC card but the storage display showed it as 256GB (it's definitely not). After about a week of normal usage, the device couldn't mount the card, reporting it as "corrupted" ... I pulled it, and checked the card in a laptop card reader ... the analysis reported that the phone formatting created a file system with more data blocks than the card actually contained (major no-no)! It's been over 3 weeks (as of this writing) since I emailed Plum support (as published on their site) and still haven't received a response, so to get back to the headline of this review: If you rely on event reminders or expect support ... don't buy this piece of crap!
