Great board that looks good and feels solid
I’ve had this cutting board for about a month and it’s holding up really well. The striped wood pattern looks great on the counter and it feels sturdy and well made. It has a nice weight to it so it stays put when I’m chopping. The small rubber feet on both sides keep it stable and I like that one side has a groove while the other is flat. The surface was smooth right out of the box and didn’t need any sanding. I haven’t oiled it yet and it still looks great after regular use. Solid buy.

Quality, Quality, Quality
I purchased the 20"x15"x1.5" Franklin Black Walnut Edge Grain Cutting Board. I was very reluctant to purchase this on Amazon, a brand I wasn't familiar with, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It arrived in a very nice protective padded box and in perfect beautiful condition. It's a beautiful cutting / carving board, almost too beautiful to use. I love that both sides can be used for different things, carving or chopping on one side, and rolling dough or serving a charcuterie display on the other side, for example. I love that each corner has small, taking up little space, rubber feet on both sides of the board to keep it from sliding which will make it easier to use especially while rolling out dough. I love that the juice groves are closer to the edge of the board which leaves more workspace on the board. I absolutely love that it was made in the USA! Did I mention how beautiful this board was? I can't say enough good things about this item. So far, all I see is high quality. I'm hopeful that over time with the right care it will continue to prove its quality. My first purchase for a similar size carving board was a week ago. I purchased a JK Adams 20"x14" maple board from Bloomingdales. First, It was wrapped in clear plastic cellophane, not nearly as nice as this Sonder board in the beautiful box. Second, between the juice groves being carved so far from the edge and the goves being so wide, the JK Adams 20"X14" board only left a 14.5"x9.5" workspace. Ridiculous. Not to mention there was a hole in the corner of the board which I'm guessing was to either hang the board or be able to pull it out easier, which took up more work space on the board. The handles on the JK Adams were carved slanted into the sides to make it easier to carry were carved all the way into the space on the opposite side of the board leaving the backside of the board workspace again, very limited. There was nothing to like about that board. I knew in 2 minutes I would be returning it and that's when I searched Amazon and found the Sonder board. I'm so glad I did! The Sonder board seems like a much better quality on every level, it's much more beautiful too, and certainly designed much better for workspace and safety. JK Adams cutting board was a huge disappointment. For those of you looking for a quality board, this is it! It would also make a wonderful gift especially when presented in the box in comes in. Comes with a 1 year warranty. I don't think I ever wrote a review this extensive but this cutting board was certainly worthy the time!

Great board, if you take care of it
What a great cutting board!! The first thing to know is that a natural wood cutting board requires maintenance including regular oiling with food grade mineral oil and/or board butter. It also requires you to train other humans in your home that the board must always be hand washed, towel dried, and left to air dry. Never, never, ever should it be left in the sink under (or partially under) water or go in the dishwasher because water, and especially the dishwasher, are destroyers of wood. This board is substantial so it sits firmly on the counter without moving or spinning. The grooves on the side make moving the board super easy. The cutting surface is super smooth although it has scratched a bit over the past 4-6 months of fairly regular use. I don’t see this as a negative because the board is wood and I use sharp knives. It is large enough to prep multiple items at one time. The little pockets on one side are nice to keep small quantities of herbs and veggies separated during meal prep. The board is beautiful and it doubles as a charcuterie board and the little pockets are great to hold whatever goodies we are serving. It is also too large to be dumped in the sink and left to drown, which is good for it’s longevity. I have had zero problems with warping or splitting because I have trained the other humans at my house to never put the board in the dishwasher and take time to maintain it.

Finally, a perfect cutting board!
After years of using bad cutting boards, I finally made a small investment and bought a well-made board with a juice groove from Sonder LA. It's a beautiful product with a smooth surface and the size fits in my kitchen perfectly. It's one of those kitchen items that I'll enjoy for years. Agree with one of the reviewers that it's too beautiful to use. I love it!

Great cutting board!
This is my second try at a cutting board of this nature. My fist one (not from this seller) was cracked all over the place and I didn’t even use it yet. This one is a win! Bonus is that both sides are usable for different reasons! The one side is a traditional cutting board with a nice “moat” for collecting any kind of run off from what you are cutting and the other side has a nice area for crackers or whatnot and can be used as a charcuterie board! There are not any rubber footers for slipping/sliding, but I use it on top of a silicone mat and that does the trick! Really nice piece - looks great and functional!

Rough at First, Smooth After Conditioning (Video Included)
I’ve only used this board a couple of times, and at first it started to feel a little rough and looked dull, which surprised me. After looking into it, I realized it just needed proper conditioning. Once I applied oil, the wood darkened back up and the surface felt much smoother again. I included a quick video showing the difference before and after conditioning. So far, I really like the board—the size, weight, and look are great. Just know that like most end grain wood boards, it does require regular oiling to keep it looking and feeling its best. If you’re willing to maintain it, it’s a solid choice.

Have been looking everywhere specifically for an end grain cutting board (the end grains move apart when slicing usually) made out of walnut (softer than maple so gentler on knives) that has drip grooves (meats and fruits spills annoy me) on one side for my growing collection of Japanese knives. The 3 little cutout compartments on the other side were icing on the cake. Also, I didn't want to pay the world for it. This board seemed like the perfect fit! Have ordered some food grade mineral oil for this board to help look after it and hope it lasts for quite some time as it would be a pain to warranty it in Australia!

The reason I bought this cutting board was that I got fed-up with my plastic cuttingboards that were not stable (warped) on the counter top. So I decided to return to a wooden cutting board. As soon as the teak board arrived, I needed to restrain myself not to immediately start using it. So I spent a few weeks adding tung oil 5 times and then a finishing beewax layer. It ended-up beautifully. Now my Japanese supersharp knives have an adequate base to work on. I am 76 now, so this board will easily outlive me, but since my children love to cook, it’s no problem. For the occasional small side chopping boards, I reinstated my 50 year old round chopping boards. All my plastic chopping boards have been gone now.

Je l'ai acheté en cadeau de Noël à mon conjoint il y a un an, la planche est toujours aussi belle après un an. Pas de défault. La finition du produit est impeccable.
