Lubegard 63010 Platinum Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz.

Lubegard is not a joke or scam. This product does what it is says. It extends transmission fluid life, smooths out harsh shifts and will eliminate torque converter shudder. Many people flat out neglect their transmissions. In some cases it can help those people too. It will not fix loss of a clutch plate or any other mechanical issue, but whatever the heck is in there most certainly improves the performance of your transmission. I add it with every fluid change and continue to enjoy a smooth shifting trans with no shudder.

Added a half of 10oz bottle to a Mercon LV (6f35 in a Ford Fusion 2012) after couple drain and fills. Previous owner never did transmission service up until 110k miles when I bought it from him, when I drained transmission fluid, it was darker then black. Only after 5 drain and fills with Motorcraft Mercon LV (each one was 4qt+), fluid became looking somewhat acceptable. Damage was already done to a transmission and shifting, even with proper fluid level, was erratic and rough (still was shifting into all 6 gears but with hesitation and a terrible rev hanging). I tried BG ATF Plus before, but ultimately was not satisfied with results and did drain and fill procedure 2 more times and was about to accept the defeat but found out on a some forums that people had some luck with Lubegard Platinum and decided to try it since it compatible with Mercon LV. Maybe this is just a placebo effect but with Lubegard in at least my car doesn't jerk every time when shifting and now somewhat nice at times, whining transmission noise became less noisy and maybe it will buy me some time before I need a new transmission

2013 F150 Crew 3.5 Ecoboost 270k miles - mmm orig engine and trans. Maintenance is key. 5k oil changes and transmission and coolant drain and fill every 25k miles and these trucks last forever! Having used the red bottle on corvettes and older 5.4/6.2 F250/F350s i know this is a quality product, the Platinum is NOT available anywhere locally - in fact i didnt know it existed until YouTube. Several 09-14 F150 6 speed trans owners report remarkable results w the 6 speed shift smoothness after use. I had the 19mm plug pulled out of the upper pan mount and noted perfectly appearing fluid no discoloration or burnt smell. Added Platinum solely as a future preventative measure prior to a 1300 mile trip. Figured if it does do anything for an otherwise normal transmission ill surely find out after driving 1300 miles. Results: i noticed after about 400 miles of 80+ mph driving that shifting, while computer controlled, seemed a bit firmer and significantly faster. Prior to the addition of this product i also reset the transmission learned adaptations as well as all saved shift modes and all learned modes and driving styles. That makes an immediate and noticeable difference in shift points and especially torque converter lockup points and changes tow/haul mode behavior. Again YMMV and while i do notice a very mild but good improvement in a 260k++ mile transmission, since using this ive had a couple "hiccups" with 1-2 shifts that are concerning. One occasion in a parking lot at low speed the 1-2 shift was so harsh i thought something in the rear axle broke. It also did that once on a low speed turn a few days prior.It did not throw a code though and i do have the lead frame recall transmission -.recall has been done 8 years ago. Nothing but 25k fluid/filtet changes since. I recommend Platinum for all Ford 6 and 10 speed transmissions and especially the 4R100/5R100 seem to love 2 bottles of this fluid.

Helped the Ford Ranger 5th gen transmission shift better but short of a stick of dynamite nothing will fix a Ford.

Help with the hard shifting in my 2018 GMC Acadia, but don't expect a miracle solution to fix the underlying company flawed transmission design. Would recommend using every service change. Especially with a new transmission, because that's original transmission will be replaced by 120k miles if you want it to stop shuttering under load.

This was what I was told to get by a guy that has been on Overhauling and specializing in transmission and made a ton of difference

Used this in my transfer case because the Mopar fluid was outrageously priced. read some forums and found out using this and synthetic ATF was the way to go. I recommend

Thanks a lot for this piece of intelligence. My Escalade ESV 2016 was suffering from severe shuddering. I ordered Lubegard and I replaced the transmission fluid with new one and added to bottles of Lubegard then I noticed a significant improvement in the performance Masha Allah. Many thanks.

This product seems to be doing what it is advertised for, shifting is somewhat smoother even after only 150 km also some noise reduction and vibration. Have to see how it is doing in the longer run. This is only a fix for minor things like improving the fluid of the AT, anything worse will still need a regular transmission overhaul. Would recommend to try first for shudder etc. before anything else.

Sorted my Volvo s80 D5 autobox within 20 miles after a full fluid change, bottle of this and some lubeguard instant Shudder fix. Brilliant product.
