Does not work?
I typically only review things if I love them or have a bad experience. These fly lids are a great concept, and I would think they worked but I have had no such luck. They have definitely captured their fair share of fruit flies, but I have caught exactly zero regular, annoying household flies. None. I am staring at a fly buzzing around 6" from my "trap" as I write this review. They simply don't climb in. This doesn't work for regular flies. Waste of money.

BUY NOW! 🪰☠️
I have never written a review faster upon trying the item. I unwrapped it, read about it, followed easy step directions and made my very own fly cocktail, sent the amazon link to my grandma suggesting them as a stocking stuffer, wrote this review, AND TRAPPED/KILLED 10 FLYS IN UNDER 15 MINUTES. WAIT, NOPE... 11 🪰 ☠️ Since I have a 6 pack, I'll keep them at my house and at the camper. 12 🪰 ☠️

Didn't catch any flies
Didn't fit well on a red plastic but so I had to tape it on. Added some cat poo from litter box but didn't catch any flies.

Okay I have to change my review…..
Original review Hole isn’t big enough to actually trap enough flies to be effective. Same bait it both of these, one if the fly trap bag and the other is this lid After two weeks, the jar was full and he the third week. No more flies could fit into the 24 oz pickle jar I am using. I don’t know why it was so slow…..but once the flies found it, they couldn’t get away. I am using refill bait purchased on Amazon separately. I’m grossed out how full it got. I tried Red Bull in the other jar but that didn’t attract the flies. You’ll have to use a commercial bait if you want it to work. Taking off 2 starts because of how long it took to work (especially compared to other options) and also, one day it was windy and the top blew off……so not recommended if you live in a very windy spot, or you can just put it on a non-windy side of the house….. Last picture is my updated picture of what happened when I gave it time and patience

Buy something else
If I could give negative stars, I would. We put meat in ours, not a single fly. Put fruit in another, not a single fly. They were both in high fly areas of our home. I will never buy these again or recommend them to anyone, unless you like wasting money.

Easy to use and traps flies
This cup cover was great on larger flies, so I tried it around the plants and kitchen for fruit flies and soil gnats. The cup lid will trap the smaller flies, but some seem to find their way out, and others laid eggs before dying, and then the larva survived on the side of the cup, so it was a bit gross to clean out and refresh.

Don't waste your money !
I tried every concoction to attract flies to the cup and placed in different areas . I went as far as putting several cups with different " attractents" in the same area where the flies seemed to be the most annoyimg . I patiently waited several days and I " attracted " 1 bee and a few gnats ,but NOT ONE FLY . I so wanted this to work but it was just a waste of plastic, time & money!
