Does anyone else's tea maker not have the teavana logo?

I bought mine from the teavana store during a close out sale. It does not come with a logo, only a Teavana branded leaflet inside. The made by label on the bottom says "proudly made in Taiwan", with parents in the US China UK and Korea.

How do I remove the mesh screen to clean it?

On my Teavana, not only does the mesh pull out but, after pulling it out you can push down on the plastic tip under the mesh and completely disassemble the unit. The rubber grommet also pops out. Every 6 months or so I throw my parts into an Oxiclean solution to remove all the tea stains. Easy to reassemble too. There are youtube videos out there showing the process.

Does this new design allow the lid to come off, or at least flip open COMPLETELY, so you can put the cup in the DW without the lid being in the way?

Yes it pops off but I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher. The mesh could retain some of the soap underneath and dry. Makes for a funny treating tea.
