**update** after months and months of use, the spewing issue seems to have resolved itself and I love these little covers. I up it from 4 to 5 stars. Love the convenience of these lids, especially for my bigger girl that has more spills than my toddler. However, like I had read in the reviews, if you press on the top of the lid, due to the pressure, liquid comes spewing out like Old Faithful lol. It has a small vent area to prevent that from happening, but it doesn’t work well at all, not even after I poked something trough it to make sure it was open. Other than that, I have no more complaints and would purchase it again if I didn't have them already. The durability is great so far as well.

While they do the job, they are extremely difficult to get onto even the smallest cups. When removing the lid, the liquid will squirt up and out of the straw if you are not careful. However, it does keep most of the liquid in if it the cup is tipped over.

As a grandmother I have a dozen sippy cups that take up so much space in my kitchen and only get used once or twice a week. These were a great find. I bought a set of 8 oz. plastic glasses that nest to use them with, and now I have so much more space. I bought a second set for my daughter to use when she has the kids on the road to their other grandma's house. When you unfold the inner side of the top it is easy to stretch it over the top of the glass, and they stay in place. They clean up in the dishwasher easily.

These silicone lids do the job, they seal very well, and do not feel like cheap products. Be aware though, as we paired them with some steel cups, you have to work kind of hard to stretch them. its not REALLY hard, or anything like that, but its just hard enough, that you concentration can be easily diverted from placing it gently on the cup, putting you in danger of knocking the cup over when placing the lid. Also, once the straw is in place, any pressure on the lid will pressurize the drink enough to push it right up and out of the straw. Its not a deal breaker, by any stretch, but its something to note. The danger of spills is more likely from this 'pressurization' than from tipping and spilling once these lids are on. The are a solid product.
