A High-End Camera Strap at a High-End Price.
I am a fan of Peak Design's products and already own their carbon fibre tripod, 2 x Capture Clips, a host of Anchors, and a CL-3 wrist strap. Complete satisfaction with my previous purchases gave me the confidence to buy the Slide strap without first seeing one in the flesh. This strap was bought because I have arthritis in my cervical spine and a conventional neck strap gives me discomfort when carrying my camera. To solve that issue I had previously used a chest harness that I had adapted with a Capture Clip that proved extremely comfortable in use. A major drawback of this though is the fact that when I shoot, the camera is just held in my hand and therefore tempting to thieves. It is also easy to slip on rough ground and drop a valuable camera. On a recent photoshoot in London's Brick Lane a resident took the trouble to warn me of a spate of camera snatches. Bearing in mind the value of my camera, I resolved to explore other options. The Slide strap offers me the ability to have the camera slung across my body while still allowing easy access. It means that while the camera is in my hands, the strap remains around my torso and thus cannot be snatched by a passing thief on a bicycle. Using it gives me a greater sense of security, and I don't think that is misplaced. The strap is cleverly designed with one side being smooth, and the other fitted with silicone gripping areas. Simply flipping it over permits one to transition from a strap that can easily slide across fabrics in order to allow a camera to be brought to the eye without problems, to a strap that does not slide off the shoulder. Using a slippery strap usually makes one hitch one shoulder higher than the other to prevent the strap from slipping off, soon causing pain. The strap has a level of internal padding to cushion the weight of a larger camera/lens (beware the Slide Lite does not possess this feature). The buckles are incredibly simple to operate, even with one hand, so that the strap can be shortened/lengthened in a second or two. The strap can be attached to the camera in a number of ways using the plate and quickly-detachable fittings known as Peak Design Anchors. These QD fittings are the work of a genius and can be operated with just one hand. I would recommend watching Peak Design's video on Youtube for advice on how to set up and wear this strap. The price of this strap may initially seem a little steep, but this must be balanced against the value of one's camera. For me, with a used camera and lens coming in at more than £2.5K, the price is a small fraction of what I have paid for my photography. It makes the camera easier to use, as does all Peak Design's gear, plus it makes it harder for a dishonest person to deprive me of gear that I have had to work hard to afford. Using it gives one a sense that one owns the Rolls Royce of camera straps, and it isn't possible to put a price on such a feeling. The product shows excellent thought and flair in its design, and it is made of top-quality materials. It has a couple of components that are made of leather in some of the available colours, so if you are a vegan you need to buy the black version, as that one replaces the leather with a man-made alternative. That little consideration proves how much Peak Design think of their customers. The strap itself is made from the same material as the webbing used in vehicle seat belts, and we know how durable that is. Peak Design apparently have total faith in their products and exemplary customer service. All in all, this is a great strap that will make you remember its quality and functionality long after its price has been forgotten. Buy one; you will not be disappointed.

A very good strap and quick-release system.
This is a brilliant strap. Comfortable, smart and very secure. Combined with the PD quick release system I can transfer it easily between camera bodies, and the clutch-type adjustment for the strap length is a huge improvement over the fiddly feeding of a strap through a plastic end clip (if you know, you know). It also has some embroidered grip 'tracks' on one side to help prevent it slipping on the shoulder. So, although not especially cheap for a non-leather camera strap, it's well constructed and you could arguably save money if you have multiple bodies (as you could easily transfer the strap across rather than having one per body).

Great camera sling strap!
Great strap and really nice functional design as you would expect from Peak Design. The strap has a grippy side to stop the camera moving when stowed behind or to the side of the body and a smooth side to aid ease of movement when bringing the camera up to shoot. Has a screw in mount for the bottom of the camera so it can be used as a sling, my preferred set up, and comes with plenty of Peak Designs clips. I brought it to carry my Tamron 150-600mm lens on my R6 which is a large lens and heavy setup combined. The strap supports the weight very well allowing me to move easily and bring up the camera smoothly and quickly. I use this strap the mostly and have the Peak wrist strap to swap out if I'm using a smaller lens. I've tried a lot of different carry options from different manufacturers and found Peak design stuff the most usable. Definitely recommend this strap.

Works for me.
I have a large DSLR so I got this, rather than the 'Lite' version. Also, I wanted a wide strap. The buckles work very well. One way, adjusting length is easy, other way is locked tightly. The Ash colour is very nice as a change from black and matches my clothing well enough. The trim is leather, so if you're vegan - it's the black version for you. The anchors are very easy to put on the camera. There are oval split-rings for those cameras with not enough space to thread the anchor points through. Connecting to the main strap is so simple and there is a satisfying metallic click as the device is locked in to place. Easy to remove, too. The bottom plate comes with its anchor point already assembled and there's an Allen Key to tighten it. With three points of attachment there are two ways to attach the strap - either as a standard neck strap or as a sling. The grippy side of the neck strap is for the first option, to stop slipping while the smooth side helps the sling style move easily to get the camera into position. This is very well presented and feel wonderful in the hand. A very well-crafted item. It is expensive but a lot of science and care has gone into the manufacture, still - expensive. I feel this will last for ages. I would recommend this to anyone with a big / heavy camera and lens combination.

I wanted to love it.
I have the strap on my Canon R5. It is very well made, feels like it should last, easy to take on and off, but feels very secure when its on. Its also easy to adjust the length and looks good. But it isn't perfect (for me at least) and I feel it should be a little better for the price. The "padding" is quite stiff so doesn't bend over my shoulder very comfortably and the non-slip bits are only on one side, but it feels like it is the wrong side. I feel you are paying a bit of a premium for a stylist looking strap, hopefully you are also paying for longevity too.

Well made, practical and comfy
Have read loads of reviews and been told by others that this was a good product. Having started to use, I totally understand why. Comfy, easy to use and made a long day out taking photos seem so easy. Most of all my camera felt secure at all times.

Worth the extra money for me
I have tried out a bunch of different straps, cheap and expensive, and this is the one that works for me. The attachment system is fine, I like it - and that is the unique selling point for Peak Design. A strong attachment is absolutely vital but most of the higher end straps have this - unlike many cheaper straps which often skimp on a safe and sturdy way to attach to your gear. But the real reason I love this strap is the extra wide and sturdy strap itself. It is made of what looks & feels like a car seatbelt strap. The metal & plastic slider system feels high quality and just works as desired. Even with a lighter lens the extra comfort is noticeable and with a heavy telephoto lens on my DSLR the difference between this and lesser straps is immense. It's not cheap but its comparable to other high quality straps. Recommended for anyone carrying a DSLR if you like comfort.

Comodísima!
Material y calidad. Muy bien. Más cómoda que la original de Nikon (en mi caso) la suavidad del material y el grosor hacen que sea más placentero llevar cámara y teleobjetivo. No digo que quite peso, que no, pero la sensación es diferente.
