This book serial is originally in Japanese. It is one of the best selling kid illustration books in Japan. The version I got is a set of Soft cover, in simplified Chinese characters. The print is very clear and vivid color. The stories are fun and simple for 12-18 months old babies to understand. The paper is thicker than regular books, but it is still easy to tear. If you are looking for a Chinese study book (to learn the Chinese characters) these are not the books for you. If you simply want to read the story to your kid, these are not the right books for you because not much words in them. But if you are good with imagination and describe the story based on pictures, then these are the right type of books. You will need to be patient with the baby at the beginning. My son only started getting into the stories after he chewed threw half of the serial ~>_<~ but now when I say the bear takes a bath, my son will make bear sound "growl~" very cute! He starts to point to the animals, too and pay more attention to the animal pictures when I talk. The storyline is very repeatitive which is good for baby to menorize. Overall, I am very pleased with this set of books. Which they have a version that is harder to treat and chew....P.S) my favorite story is "who wet in bed?" When rabbit wet the bed, it is a carrot shape LOL, when cat wet the bed, it is a fish shape. That is so cute! Now when my son sees fish, he always say "Kat". That is such a smart way to link what these animals eat.

Chinese is our minority language in the house and I'm constantly trying to teach my daughter Chinese. These books are great for toddlers. The lines are very repetitive so it's easy for young kids to understand. The stories are simple, fun, and applicable. There is a book about cleaning up and I just repeat the phrase to my daughter and remind her that it is good to clean up. I do wish that it had pinyin so it is easier to read. There are words I can't read so it's difficult to figure out.

I’m unable to find any interesting Chinese books for toddlers on Amazon to teach them Chinese. The picture is really cute, however the content can’t get LO’s attention enough for him to read it

My child is hooked on the books and memorizes every single one. The content is simple, educational, and cute. Easy on the little kids.

I purchased these for my bilingual preschool classroom. They are considered “baby books” but they are perfect for any child starting out to learn the Chinese language. The pictures are so sweet and the stories are interactive. When they arrived they were well packaged and even came with a free bib.

Only received 1 out of the 15 books. This seems to be a recurring problem as others have mentioned.

This book collection is absolutely lovely! I bought these books for my Chinese nanny to read to my 9 month old baby. She reads them often and they both seem to enjoy it. I cannot read Chinese myself, but the book illustrations are so pretty and simple that sometimes I make up stories based on them, so I "read" them as well. The stories are about routine things such as taking a bath, going to the bathroom, playing with friends, a birthday party, etc. The collection arrived pretty fast, much sooner than what Amazon had informed. The only negative of the collection is that the pages are thin (like regular paper and unlike some kids books that have thick pages). The Baby Bear Picture Book (15 Volumes) (Chinese Edition) has short stories that didn't make much sense to me. Unfortunately, I found the content disappointing and ended up returning them shortly after receiving.

Great book series for little kids ( either native chinese speakers or kids to learn chinese) Super cute, simple and realistic.I bought them for my 5months old, she doesn’t understand them now but i will keep reading these to her. Strongly recommend!

This should be a great book for kids. I bought it with the intention of helping my grandkid to learn Chinese. Unfortunately I received only two of the 15 books. The seller immediately gave me full refund after knowing the issue. I was told to keep the two books.

Books are ok. It s suitable for young babies with simple storyline and simple pictures.

Perfect for my 3 year old. She loves them. No pinyin but nice illustrations.

Kids love them , good pictures!
