Cuts through with anything with ease!!!
The best knife we have ever owned. Worth every single penny!!!! I was always the kind of person that said “a knife is a knife”, “they all cut the same” but after we got this, I was a changed woman. We will never go back to basic cheap knives!!! This cuts so effortlessly it’s scary. I cannot recommend this knife enough. We have gifted it to people. That’s how good this knife is!!!! Easy to hold, grip, isn’t cheap or thin. Doesn’t feel like it’ll break in my lifetime!! And on top of the usage and capabilities, it also look badass!!! Really cool etchings in blade, and beautiful box to store it in. We love this knife!!!!! Get one for yourself!!!

Best kitchen knife I own!
I was in the market of getting me a kitchen knife for my new apartment living. I wanted something strong nice and sharp, something that will last much longer than all the common fake feeling brands of chef knives out there. After my years in the kitchen life myself I really needed my own upgrade. Upon receiving this knife the packaging was top tier. I still house my knife in the detailed box it came in, sleeve and all. The knife came in a nice velvet lined box with cleaning cloth and oil to help preserve the knife from rusting. I use this knife now for all my cooking needs for me and my wife. I still have not had the need to sharpen it yet either, that is kind of surprising. **the only warning I will say to those purchasing this knife...do NOT just wash this knife and leave it out to air dry. It will start to rust/blemish. Wash the knife as you will and then dry it with a cloth/rag. Utilize the oil just a super tiny drop and spread it over your knife** Amazing purchase for the price and will be out to purchase more cutlery in the future as my kitchen expands.

The perfect Japanese chef knife!
I am a professional chef, and this is my first time trying a Japanese chef‘s knife. I was very surprised by the exquisite craftsmanship of this knife. I love to cook and find that there is nothing more rewarding than preparing a fine meal for myself or others. I looked at many knives and was drawn to the forging method and the attention to detail that Mitsumoto Sakari offers. The gift box is top-notch and well made, and comes with a cool red interior packaging. The knife is a beautiful work of art and do its job effectively and effortlessly. I love the feel and weight of it. The blade is very well made and the pattern is true to the sharpening process. The blade is very sharp, and I know I am going to buy more knives from them. I have seen some comments saying they are ”Chinese“. I believe there is a bit of discrimination here, or I don‘t know if these are malicious comments made by other competitors. I have shown this knife to other colleagues and they all praised it as a top quality Japanese chef’s knife. The seller answered all my questions and gave me more advice and information about the knife. Their brand and forging technology originated from a certain traditional forging family in Yokohama, Japan. If you are considering it, get it and be ready to want another one. When you use it, you will realize what an amazing knife this is.

Exactly what I needed.
Not the Cadillac of knives but was exactly what I was looking for. Extremely well made and does the job it's made for. The grip is perfect for my hand. I'm getting old and my other knives wear my hand strength down quickly and my hand hurts for days after doing extensive prep. This knife ended that because it performs well and is well designed. The octagonal handle and the shape of the blade elimates unconfirmed hand positioning i find in European blades. I've cooked professionally for 30 years and I've always wanted a good Japanese blade. This is a mass produced Japanese blade made in China, however it's not a cheap Chinese knockoff. The company is a Japanese company with manufacturing in China. If your looking for authentic hand forged Japanese steel, look elsewhere. If your looking for a well made and beautiful Japanese blade at an affordable price this is the best option I've found on Amazon.

Extremely sharp, prefect knife cuts
LOVE! One of my favorite knives to use. Perfect cuts on veggies and stays extremely sharp with proper care. Also comes in a lovely wooden case with cloth and oil. 5/5!

Impressive quality even for a pro
Grabbed this for my brother who’s the head chef at a massive stadium and entertainment centre, and he’s a seriously harsh critic when it comes to knives. If it can pass his test, it’s gotta be good in my eyes. He actually loves it and has been using it every single day. The build quality is solid and it feels like it’s built to last, which is exactly what you want. Definetly a great gift for anyone who knows their way around a kitchen and wants something that actually performs, however this is a knife suited to someone that knows how to hone a knife properly and care for it long term
