Yes you can set it between inside or outside measurements of the tape.just make sure the tape is set to “0” before you start measuring.

Good for measurements, but not strong as I thought. Since the tape has measurements both the sides its rally useful and easy to the measurements in site. We can take accurate measurements in mm as well as feet and inches..
