It’s a squishy plastic toy filled with water. You do not see any change in color when you squeeze it. Could have bought a water balloon for the same effect

Great at first, garbage quality after couple of weeks .
Cape is in shreds, choking hazard btw and color all fades to black. This is the same for all of them. It’s a shame because my son loves them but gets upset when they fade so fast. Buy something else or just expect and be ok with it all fading in a month. I’m done. I
