KidiZoom Camera Pix Plus, Blue

I got the VTech KidiZoom Camera in blue for my 3-year-old niece, and he loves it. It’s easy for little hands to hold and use, and the camera is tough enough to handle a few drops. The pictures are fun, and there are lots of cute effects and frames kids can add. It also has silly games that keep him entertained. It’s a great way to get young kids excited about taking pictures and being creative. Definitely a fun and thoughtful gift for toddlers.

Update: Camera did last a while, but the sound and quality stopped working well after a year or so. It started making these weird buzzing noise when video recording. Was super disappointed because this is my son's favorite, but it is unusable now. I am usually pretty happy with the longevity of V-Tech toys, but this one didn't last as long as we had hoped. If you are buying this camera because you want your kid to take high quality images (don't), but if you are buying this for your picture-taking loving kid to have fun and take okay photos and just enjoy, then 100% buy it. This thing was made in a very smart way for durability. The big handles on each side protect the screen and it still works fine. The cameras also have little filters and games that are fun, but I also appreciate that you can turn the games off. I appreciate that you can adjust the volume of the shutter and what not too. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

My son purchased the pink camera for my granddaughter but couldn’t find a blue one for my grandson. Amazon to the rescue! The price on Amazon was same price he got the pink one. The kids love it, they spent hours taking pictures Christmas and found games you can play. Don’t expect great quality pics but for 2, 5 year olds, they were professional photographers

This camera is cute. We gave it to my four year old for his birthday and he LOVES it! The picture quality isn’t the greatest. There’s also a noticeable delay from when you press the button to take the picture to when it actually takes it. So we had to teach my four year old to push the button and then keep it still for a second or two afterwards - otherwise you just get blurry pictures. You can’t charge the camera - you have to use batteries - so if your kid likes it as much as ours does then you might want to buy stock in Duracell. This is why the overall value isn’t the best investment. It comes with games on there too to play which are so cute. Overall it’s good for a four year old.

This was a huge it with my 7 year old grandson. His baby sister and similar aged cousins loved it also. The downside is that the camera also has four games installed and all the kids immediately gravitated to that. His parents already have their hands full limiting his screen time. I wish the camera came without the games. Hence the 4 stars vs. 5. That’s not to say that he didn’t explore the camera because he did and does. The camera itself is very sturdy and well suited for children. The product description of the camera’s capabilities is accurate. It does take 4 AA batteries however….no USB charging. The pictures are viewed on the camera, can be downloaded to a computer with a cable, and can be edited in many, many ways. No instructions are provided except for a Quick Startup guide. This was not a problem for my grandson. The camera’s controls are obviously similar to other electronic controls and devices, which makes its operation very intuitive. Very good value.

6 year old daughter absolutely loves it. It's tough and safe for outside trips, in case it gets bumped or dropped.

Got one for our son for his 3rd birthday. He carries it everywhere he goes. One gripe is that it won’t read higher speed micro SD cards, but the correct ones aren’t that expensive. The menus take a bit of thinking to navigate, but he was a whiz on day 2. I do enjoy that he gets to think his way through menus to find things, as it will help him later in life. The amount of joy this has brought my son is worth every penny.
