XXI Surface Mount Concealed Hinge

If you have this type of hinge, I recommend these. Well made, and heavy duty. Worked fine when installed for older failing hinge.

If you need a hidden cabinet hinge that doesn't require serious milling, this is the one for you. If you have a 3/4" cabinet door, this hinge will allow it to open almost to 180 degrees. It is also very easy to install, just use a drill to intall it while shimming the door up 1/8" and out 1/8". It will be perfect almost every time. If not, the hinge does allow for some adjustment.

So happy I can work with these hinges to retro fit my lipped cabinets. Instructions on the 5 adjustments would be nice. Something else to figure out. And hopefully , after adjusting, they will not open as much as do now. I will be buying a bunch more soon! I think I need to just add a 1x1 block and that should fit nicely inside the cabinet for extra stability to the hinges. They are quite large. No matter I am happy I don't have to spend 30 a pair for the rockler ones. Thank you!!!

I used these hinges on a refrigerator I built for homebrewing. They open past 90degrees and get the door out of the way for when I am loading kegs. Since the doors were rather heavy from construction and insulation, I added some additional screw holes in the hinges to ensure they held. They are working wonderfully!

These worked well when my client wanted to change over to concealed hinges, but the door style would not let me drill a 35mm hole for a standard hinge without drilling through the face of the door. Labor time was saved on drilling the holes witch off set the extra cost of the hinges.

I was unable to drill the needed depth for a recessed hinge without drilling through the door and was happy to find this alternative hinge. The screw holes were small and restrictive for adjustability. I slightly enlarged all of them with a drill press before beginning the installation. Installation was reasonably easy, but one must compensate for a little bit of hinge sagging and, once installed, the subsequent adjustability of the hinge is less than what I was led to believe. Back-to-back doors need to be separated by about 3/8" (depending on the edge profile) or else the doors will bind when opening. The hinges are strong and I would use them again, but I will think twice in the future before designing a door that prohibits the recessed hinge.
