Is this scented? My scalp is super sensitive, especially to scented products.

It is very lightly scented, but there is no fragrance listed in the ingredients. The smell must come from the fruit oils. Like you, I react to perfume in shampoo and cosmetics. I have not had problems with this. Also the directions are to put this on the lengths of your hair so it never actually makes contact with your skin. I leave it on for 30 minutes. I know some people leave it in overnight, where scalp or face contact from the pillow would be probable, but if you just put it in your lengths you should be fine.

Does this have protein?

I always oil my hair before shampooing, so can I use this on oily hair?

You can .. because it’s a pre/shampoo .. just FYI .. I’ve gone through 3 jars and have seen NO improvement
