Arise Bamboo Wooden Bread Box for Kitchen Countertop, Extra Large 2-Shelf

I am very impressed with this product. The product came unassembled but was packaged nicely with foam sheets in between the pieces then all the pieces were wrapped together in thin plastic and sealed, then the bunch was rapped fully in thin foam and taped, then the bunch was wrapped tightly in a bubbled pouch and sealed, and finally it was placed in a cardboard box. The directions are all in english with pictures and they were easy to understand. You may need your cheaters for some of the wording, but most of it is a decent size font. Each piece is labeled, which makes it easier to find each of them without having to match the piece to the picture in the directions. The product comes with all the items needed to put it together, including a screw driver. It also came with extra screws and an extra rod/peg, so you won't have to run to the hardware store if need be. The windows are plastic, and the handles are metal. I am a mechanicaly inclined female, and it took me just a half hour to unpackage it and put it together. The only problem I had was that one of the screws on the side was stripped, so I had to add some wood glue into the hole. Other than that, this product went together smoothly without any other problems. It is very good-looking and holds all the bread that I use. I am very pleased and very happy that I bought this. Honestly this is a great bread box. Purchased due to size and because of cut in handles on side if you are moving it. My old one was not deep enough (7" deep) and I couldn't fit everything, this one is 10" deep, all measurements listed are accurate. I knew when I got it I was going to paint or stain it because I'm not a huge fan of how light color bamboo looks. I tried staining first and that didn't work because it has a clear coating or shelac on it and the stain wouldn't penetrate. That's a good thing though to keep it looking nice, if your using as is which I was not. Not knocking at all for that. Ended up painting it using 2 sample paints from Lowes and getting 2 handles for $2.50 each here on Amazon. The handles in product photo came pre- installed on the door pieces and they looked a little crooked, after I took them off I realized the part on the hardware that attached on either side wasn't made even/aligned with the other side of the handle. Don't know if that makes any sense, the pull/handle itself was made crooked, the part that screws go into. Well that didn't matter to me so much since I wasn't planning on using those anyway. I would watch out for that which they are 3-3/4" hole to hole handles if you are planning to replace them. Capacity is great I got in lower compartment 2 loaves of bread one sideways (one with about 3 or 4 slices missing but could fit both full), one bagel, 3 slices of my old bread and some mini snack rounds/small bagel things. You could take out the snack rounds, and 3 slices and instead put a regular 5 pack of bagels long ways instead of the one bagel I have and put the other things beside the english muffins up top. In the top I have 3 packages of English muffins and could fit 4 in the top compartment with about 3" on the side for say like muffins or crousants or something. This fits exactly what I need and the wood bamboo was in great shape, I do wish the plastic windows had plastic on it for shipment but they weren't damaged that much very minor scratches that aren't noticeable. Easy and self explanitory to assemble and instructions are easy to follow, the tiny screwdriver is a little hard to use you might want to use your own, some holes were just slightly missaligned but not enough to not make it work. All in all I do recommend but do wish it was a little cheaper and it does have cheap handles.

The shipment of this item was received at the time promised in good condition. It did need to be put together. It is very nice looking and very functional on the kitchen counter.

If you go to the grocery store and buy the regular loaves of sliced bread in a plastic bag (like I do), know this: this bread box will hold two on the bottom and one on the top. When I was contemplating this purchase, I looked and looked to get the answer to that simple question, and now that I have it in my kitchen, I know . The reason you can only fit one loaf of Wonder Bread on the top shelf is that the glass-front door slopes inward, making the shelf narrower. However, in addition to the ONE regular loaf fitting on the top, there is room for a couple other smaller items. So, this bread box will hold THREE (3) loaves of Bunny Bread sandwich loaves, plus a little extra for some rolls. P.S. It is a beautiful and well-made bread box.

I am absolutely amazed at this bread box. I chose this box because after a lot of research I read that you don't have to wrap your bread to keep it fresh. I always have a problem storing my homemade bread with it drying out or being too moist after a few days. I chose this bread box reluctantly because it was expensive, but I had read that it will keep your bread without having to wrap the bread. It's made out of bamboo and it has vent holes. I am so happy with my choice, and it was worth every penny. The photos are of donuts and homemade sandwich bread, both are 4 days old. The donuts are as soft and fresh as the day they were made, and the bread is still not dried out, and the crust is still tender. Neither have been wrapped or refrigerated. I love my bread box!

The bread box just arrived and I just finished putting it together. It went together well, but you do need to follow the instructions carefully. It is awkward the way they show you how to assemble it, but I followed it and the doors open and shut nicely. As I was screwing the top door in, I made sure it was laying against the wood nicely like it should when it is closed. Put each screw in part way, then tighten them all down together to have everything sit together right for each part. Then you can adjust it as you go. I put it together myself until the last part, then I had my daughter help me. I needed an extra set of hands to help hold it. I could have used an extra set of hands for the whole thing probably. But, it is doable by yourself. I used the screw driver enclosed to put it all together, but it wasn’t adequate for the last piece. I had to get my own screw driver to tighten it enough and then used it to tighten all the others as well. By taking time and extra care we were able to close the gaps and have a nice fit. The doors open and shut nicely. There’s just the right amount of gap around them. But all other connections were able to come together without any gaps. It was hard to tighten them down, but that’s good. You want them tight. There’s a lot of play in the top door hinges, but don’t be concerned about that. It works. It might be designed that way to allow for the movement that is needed. It fits well under my cupboard with room for a butter dish and a small fruit basket on top, and there’s room under the bread box for my bamboo cutting board. I am happy about it so far. I haven’t used it yet. I am curious to see how fresh it keeps the bread. But it is spacious enough for the four loaves that my recipe makes, so I am satisfied.

Overall, it's sturdy and looks good. Would definitely recommend. Instructions were clear, without typos, only one correction. Set came with some spare screws and a decent screwdriver! Part identifier stickers were not glued with obnoxious adhesive that rips every sticker and leaves residue. Few pre-drilled holes were slightly off, so I can see why some reviews mention crookedness. I had to force a few parts, but in the end it was fine. Magnetic latch was a bit too strong, when we tried to open the door, it pulled the entire box along the countertop. I replaced it with a smaller metal plate. Now it's perfect.

This comfortably takes my bread-machine loaves, which I store in micro-perforated bags. The bread keeps well for days, doesn’t dry out as it used to and there’s no sign of mould. There’s plenty of space for other baked goods and thanks to the windows you can see at a glance what you have. Not only that, but the bin looks great on the worktop, with the added benefit of storage space on the top. All told, an excellent buy, worth the investment. Straightforward to build too.

I got this two weeks ago, very happy with it. Very good quality material, excellent instructions to assemble, they even have spare screws and bolts in case you lose one. Looks very nice and is quite spacious, I can fit in all our bread, plus eggs and croissants and brioche and things. Great, much better than I expected.
