Easy to use and nice looking as well
This has been a great inexpensive can opener. My family has used it for the past few months without any issues. This is the first "premium" can opener I've used. Prior to this we've always used the cheap metal openers that you can see in my pictures next to the KitchenAid opener. My experience with this opener is night and day compared to using the old one. It's much more comfortable in the hand since it has thick rounded handles. The old opener would always hurt when you had to squeeze it down to start opening any can. This one is also really solid. It weighs a little over 8 ounces while my old one was about 3 ounces. So far it's been really smooth and trouble-free for opening cans. It also looks great so I don't mind leaving it lying around for people to see. It can also open wide in case you need to open an especially large can like you find at warehouse stores. The one thing that I don't like is that it's not dishwasher proof so you have to be sure to hand wash it. If you're someone with smaller hands you might want to try it out before buying it because those thick handles might be just a little too thick for you. I'm 6'4 and they are great for me but my wife who is about a foot shorter sometimes has to use both hands to squeeze the handles together when first opening some cans. Overall this has been a welcome replacement for the old opener we had. If they would add a bottle opener that would make this product even better but I can live without it. The last thing I would add is that there is a mystery hole right next to the hand crank. You can see it in one of my pictures. It almost looks like a cigar cutter because when you squeeze the handles together it had a metal blade that slices through it, although it's not sharp. Maybe this is a secret feature but if you know what it's for be sure to let me know in the comments section of my review!

Good can opener
This was part of a wedding gift for my friend and when I use her can opener it makes me jealous. It’s so smooth and easy to use. Comfortable hand grip compared to my twenty year old behemoth.

Best can opener we've ever had in decades!
This is the BEST EVER can opener our family has EVER had. comfortable, EASY use keeps going and going round and round, does not snag or stop. We actually fight over who gets to open cans, keep opening cans we don't even need at the time because it so fast and enjoyable! What a great find! They opened so many cans of misc beans and veggies that I put it all in a crockpot with some CANNED spaghetti sauce and water to slow-simmer a hearty soup.....now on to other cans.......what a pleasure! NEVER never settle for anything less than this make and model, too many decades gone, all those sorry years of wasted money, time, and oh such frustration with anything less! Spend the extra money and it will last and last......serving you faithfully with NO problems! trust me! :)

Typical can opener that works fine.
This can opener works great. So far it has lasted through daily use. It seems like all can openers made these days to break after a few months of use. I am hoping to get a few months of use at the least out of this one. The handles are pretty long and provide good leverage for opening cans. The handle that turns the can opener works pretty smooth even when cutting the can open. So far I am happy with it. Only time will tell if this is truly a great can opener though. If it breaks down prematurely I will make sure to update my review. Otherwise, it will still be working great. Dimensions of the can opener can be seen in the photos uploaded below. Pros: *Long handles for good leverage on the can *Operates smoothly even when cutting into the cans *Inexpensive Cons: *None so far Additional Considerations: This is a "cutting" can opener. This is not one of those can openers that pop the top off without cutting into the can. Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 stars If you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

KitchenAid Can Opener,
Sometimes tricky to get started opening a can. But it could be my age I don't do things quite as well as I used to. Seems to have a good grip. Just if I can get the hang of how to get it started. All in all though it works pretty good. Easy to turn with my arthritis

Kitchen aid products are the best!
4 years later and this can opener still looks and works as if it was brand new. Extremely sturdy, well made and heavy duty. Opens the cans great and always on the first try. I don’t have a kitchen aid product or accessory that I dislike. Brownie points for the adorable teal color!

They all start out good, hopefully this one keeps up the Kitchenaid name.
Nobody told me that part of being an adult was dealing with the worst can openers of all time. I mean, they just open cans. Can’t they just do that ONE THING without crapping the bed? Apparently, no. I’ve been through more can openers in my adult life than I’d like to remember. Expensive ones, really expensive ones, cheap ones, free ones, old ones, new ones, ones from before they were more than just a sharp piece of metal and a handle... they all sucked. The expensive ones didn’t suck right away, but in the end (>5 years) I’d be back to using them to punch a hole, then moving them, then punching another hole, then moving them...until I could get into the can. Ridiculous. I even found one by Farberware that didn’t crap out for almost two full years! I thought that was the one! It wasn’t. Decided to try this one. So far it’s amazing. Doesn’t hurt my hand like I’m opening the can myself instead of the thing I bought to open the can, doesn’t jam up, doesn’t send pieces flying, doesn’t jolt so hard you’ve got food to clean up, doesn’t indent the can but refuse to actually make a cut, doesn’t grind up tiny pieces of metal and label into your food... We’ll see how it holds up. I’m not holding my breath. But for now, it works like a dream. Quick, easy, efficient, and OPENS CANS.

MUST HAVE. One of the most beautiful objects we own.
I come from farm people and over the years finding a can opener that doesn't make me want to cry or wanna hit somebody with it is a life-long search. When I was little, we just had a thing that looked like a hook that you had to chase around the top of the cans, and trying to find a "modern" one that doesn't break, doesn't stall, and does the job ALL the way around has seriously been a struggle, but it's not something that ruins your life, you know? just something you think about when you have to open a bunch of cans, like I just did for tuna casserole. So, this is not only one of the most beautiful objects in our home, the deco aqua-marine, the prominent logo placement, but it has a luxurious feel to it, it's heft and sturdy in your hand, the turnwheel glides effortlessly around ANY heft or size of can, and I have never had it stall on its way around a can, huge or small, thick or thin. This is a beautiful item and I recommend it with all my heart. It's solid as a soldier and is pretty as a picture.
