Not perfect, but pleasantly pleased.
This is a great jacket for not-so-freezing/windy/rainy days. It is definitely a slim-fitted outdoor jacket that does not make you look masculine. If you are looking for protection for 30-degree weather, I don't think this will provide it (at least for me, for I am sensitive to the cold). Just a note, this jacket is not intended for dressier outfits like wool coats or trench coats, although it is a sleek, minimalist casual outerwear. Now for some sizing details:I first tried on the XS jacket while wearing a XS Gap hoodie- I could not get it over my shoulders. Then I tried it on with an over-sized t-shirt and everything looked good. Finally, I put on a lightweight sweater and it still looked good. However, the shoulders and back are a little tight if I move my arms in exaggerated motions. Since I'm not planning to chop wood or partake in any other activities of that degree, the jacket meets my needs. I'm 5'4", 115-119 lbs (depending on the day), 30B, and the XS is borderline too small for me. The sleeves hit 1 inch below my wrists and the shoulders are cut narrower than other outerwear. I think I can pull off the S if I wanted more room and it would still not be masculine. I'm sticking with the XS because I'm not planning to wear heavy sweaters with it.Two things to note:1.When the hood is rolled into the collar, the collar can't be laid down flat. I like the standing-collar look, but my cheeks are going to touch it every time I turn my head.2. There are two zipper heads on the zipper (a.k.a. 2-way zipper), so you are able to open up the bottom of the jacket whilst the top is closed. And it works well. Just remember that both zipper heads have to be tightly flushed at the bottom of the zipper to fasten and unfasten with ease. My mom is a tailor and she receives a number of customers who think their 2-way zippers are broken, but, in fact, they are not using it correctly.End note: I'm very pleased with the jacket because all the XS cold-weather jackets I bought/tried on are too roomy and not-that-flattering. Hope this helps!

Pink Lining???
This jacket fits me with room underneath for a lightweight fleece, in medium, 5'7" & 115 pounds. It reaches to about 6" above my knees. Even the sleeves are long enough for me and have partial elastic to hold cuff in. I wish there was an outside chest zipper pocket. The two outside pockets do zip, but could be deeper. The "rock" color does really look like a rock, greenish gray. The lining of coat and hood is a weird salmon pink. Good thing it is mostly hidden. The hood seems to fit well and is easy access without snaps or zip to hold it up; hope it will stay up with just a loose elastic cover. Still, overall, I really like the jacket, the fit narrows some at the waist without an interior draw cord. I have another heavier winter coat by Helly Hansen and like the simple style even if the colors are peculiar. 5 stars if the lining was gray which seems to be the case with other stores. Too bad this brand is made in China.

Coolest Coat with Major Flaws
Great looking coat BUT... This coat is lightly insulated and really not sufficient for temps under 45 degrees! Order one size bigger than your normal size as the jacket runs small. Don't expect to zip the jacket up to the top of your neck unless you have a chicken neck, which I do, and it still doesn't work for me. This is a HUGE flaw in the construction of the coat. The wrist opening can be adjusted via velcro...very cheap!!! Sticks to everything. The bottom of the coat, below the zipper, is also velcro and sticks to everything including the velcro wrist closures...fun times when your driving and have a hand in your lap.

Great coat. Consider please my measurements ( an essential detail so many reviewers leave out and to me the most helpful). I weigh 130, 5 ft 4 and usually a small or medium depending on maker. Based on reviews I wavered between medium and large. Went with large. For me it fitted loose in body but around shoulders perfect. My intent on this purchase was layering, to have a coat I can wear when the coldest part of winter with a fleece jacket or my light down jacket, and providing wind and rain resistance. The length is great too. Be patient with the double zipper, these types are always a little difficult but can be great so as it can be zipped from bottom up, nice went sitting. So if you are between 110 lbs to 140 Ibs. and you don't need to layer( I'm positive, with the light insulation most would feel very comfortable down to 40 F), then go with medium. You'll love this coat!!

Wonderful!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted WATERPROOF and insulated. That was nearly impossible to find. Most rain wear is light weight, and not warm. I wear a size 4 usually, although I'm rather broad shouldered, 125 pounds and 5'4". I ordered the small because I didn't want to look bulky and frumpy. It fits, but it is a little snug through the shoulder area (but that could just be me?) it has a slimming effect like it looks in the photo. The hip area kind of flares out just a touch. It feels warm and quilted inside. I think it will even work in colder temps than I was planning....I love it. Want to order more!

This is a great, warm coat!
I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland during their winter. I was told that I shouldn't have a wind-resistant and water-resistant coat, but something windproof and waterproof. This coat delivered! Not only did it keep me warm and dry while hiking around Iceland in October/November, but it has continued to be one of my favorite coats while here in Minnesota. Sleet, snow, and a bitter wind no longer bother me. The coat stays securely closed, even in very strong winds. The hood stays closed with the draw string, which is a great relief to someone who's used to having their hood blow around while on daily dog walks. I did buy up a size in this coat, as I wanted to be able to wear layers underneath it. I bought a large, and it was a great decision. I don't have issues with it being too tight around my hips (I'm a girl with curves), and I can get away with a thermal layer and a sweater underneath, and not feel like the marshmallow man.

Amazing
Absolutely gorgeous jacket/Mac. The picture doesn't do it justice at all. I was worried the colour might look dated but it is such a lovely shade of blue with just a hint of purple. I usually wear a 10/12 and I ordered a medium, which has room for a light jumper underneath. If you prefer a more fitted look go for a small. I'm sure this will be very waterproof if it is anything like my previous Helly Hansen Belfast. Can't believe the price I got this for - very happy!

Perfectly waterproof and windproof
Sufficiently warm for walking in snow, rain, wind, and sub-zero temperatures. I feel the cold more keenly than most and only wear a long-sleeved t-shirt benenath it. I wear a UK size 10, and the small is a snug but comfortable fit, with enough room for a light fleece, if necessary. I also have the similar, lighter weight version, which is perfect for warmer weather.

Lovely Jacket!!
Delighted with my new jacket! I ordered a Medium and was concerned that it wouldn't fit my hips but it's a lovely fit on my 40 inch hips and is a great fit everywhere else too! It's not quite as shiney in real life as it looks in the photo which is a good thing in my books plus the logo on the back collar is actually embroidered as opposed to printed so it's more subtle looking too! It got it's first waterproof test in very heavy rain yesterday and it was great, water just beaded on the fabric so full marks there. The padding is quite lightweight but kept me warm enough too. Well worth the investment!

Janet's view on Helly Hansen Womens W Insulated Long Aden Waterproof Jacket.
I am very please with this coat, it is a little snug on me but I can live with that because it is so light weight, warm and smart looking. I am also pleased to say it even makes me look slimmer, which my husband commented on as soon as I had the coat done up on me. Even though I have only had the coat a couple of days I have been out in heavy rain and the coat kept me completely dry, even the hood was good in staying put on my head and looks tidy unlike some rain coat hoods. All in all a very good buy.

Would love to but another one
Waterproof, wind proof , stylish. Maybe won't be warm enough for very cold weather but it has five stars for everything else, and doesn't claim to be for very cold weather.Would love to but another one, already, however it seems from other reviews they don't need replacing for ten years! I am now even happy to advertise HH by the large logo on the back collar as I walk and that, at first, was difficult to accept.
