Will it get around/behind toilets to clean?

I really doubt it, though it seems to make a concerted (but random) effort at getting in between things like bar stool legs. At least it won't clear my area - it is smaller than the machine to begin with (only a couple of inches from the rear wall).

does it use hot water?

Just cold water but I add concentrate floor solution that I have for other machine in it just a little bit. But just regular cold water that you needed it for machine.

What cleaning agent do you use?

Only use water in the mop head dispenser. But I sometimes spay a light mist of water w a small amount of white vinegar & Dawn on floor prior to unleashing the robot mopper!
