Faulty
Does not slice easily or cleanly through chesse block.

Makes clean even slices
Bought this because it was highly rated by Americas Test Kitchen. Much easier to use than a knife. Wish the slices were slightly thicker.

Do not put in dishwasher
But because it was highly recommended by Americas Test kitchen, blade area is too narrow for most cheese bars. Note to users: you can get a slightly thicker cut by bending it a little bit where the blade meets the frame. Also, do not put this or any other sharp blade in the dishwasher because it will ruin the steel and it will never cut right afterwards. It will take the temper out / heat treatment they give that allows metal to stay sharp. Ask any Chef!

This WÜSTHOF Gourmet 4.75" Cheese Plane is excellent. It smoothly cuts layers of cheese with every slice. The slices are perfect for each serving. Would purchase again.
