Why can’t gila film be applied to acrylic or plastics?

Thank you for your inquiry. Gila brand removable-reusable static-cling vinyl, such as this product, is perfect for use on flat plastic surfaces. However, using a window film containing adhesive should not be used with plastic, Plexiglas, acrylic or lexan surfaces. The film's adhesive contains chemicals that could react with the organic base of a plastic surface to produce a milky, bubbly appearance.

Can this non- adhesive gila privacy cling be used on plastic corrugated cardboard?

Our GILA film has not been tested on corrugated cardboard, nor is it intended for that use.
