Great fridge
Works great, I use it upstairs to keep baby bottles cold overnight and water for the wife and kids. The thermostat does make a quiet tink regularly. It would be nice if that was quieter. The compressor is barely audible.

Ideal Small Fridge for Classroom Use
Perfect size for my classroom- compact but still holds drinks and snacks easily. I was worried about noise based on other reviews, but mine is very quiet and not distracting at all. Iโve only had it a few days, but so far it works great and Iโm really happy with it!

A decent mini fridge - not for perfectionists or long term freezer use
So far, this Black and Decker mini fridge has been rock solid. Iโll share some thoughts on the unboxing, some gotchas, and hopefully a thing or two to help you make an informed decision on this fridge. For me it arrived well packaged: instructions were clear on removing the packing tape, which as others have mentioned is pretty much everywhere. The glass is adjustable and sturdy enough, but not super thick. The instructions state youโre supposed to set it on level 7 for fifteen to twenty minutes after you unbox, and there are some peculiar things to note reading the manual. One I found a typo in it because I was a proofreader in a past life. The bottoms are easily adjustable so the unit sits flush on the floor. I was surprised at how quiet it is. After filling it up with stuff, it seems to keep items cold enough. I set it back to level 4. If you tilt or put it on itโs side, youโre supposed to wait 24 hours before plugging it in. Similarly, if you want to reboot the fridge, that is best done over a few minute period, which is weird because as far as I know this thing doesnโt run FridgeOS. The design is somewhat weird internally with how stuff is connected: like it slightly differs from the manual in ways you donโt really notice unless you look at it head on. At the very top, It does not appear to be actually level. Likewise the back bottom left side of the unit has a little divot in the plastic. You probably wonโt notice unless you look right at it but itโs a little odd. The freezer has a note in the manual that you should NOT freeze items more than 5 days or so, which surprised me. Maybe the freezer compartment doesnโt really get as cold as one would think. Overall I like this thing: itโs compact, looks nice (though isnโt actual steel on the outside) and stays cold (even to the outside). The front is magnetic, so feel free to attach whatever flair you desire to it. I was able to slide two full gallon jugs of milk after reconfiguring the shelves, so thereโs a decent amount of space in there. So far so good.

Works like a charm!
The mini fridge is small but you can fit your basic drinks in and small food items! It keeps my food cold but make sure you keep your door closed, the temperature drops fast.

Great fridge but arrived LATE
These are super quiet and the fridge is great. But the shipping??? Delayed by several days - it shipped SOUTH to go NORTH. Crazy!! So arrived too late for what we needed. But the fridge itself is fantastic so gave it the 5 stars for that reason.

won't keep beverages cold
I suppose I'll add another report to a long line of existing ones: this fridge cannot keep the temperature below 40F consistently. It also seems to be getting worse. When I first got the fridge, it kept things plenty cold. Below 32F even. But it steadily got worse, and I cranked the setting all the way to the max to compensate. That helped for a while, but it's getting warmer and warmer. I can observe this happening three different ways. First, I have a thermometer in the fridge. For the past month or so, it regularly reads 40F. Second, my beer is noticeably NOT cold. Third, water drips from the ice tray above. My "work around" lately has been to put my drinks in the ice tray compartment about 30 minutes before I want to drink them. This makes them cold, but it's annoying, obviously. It now seems to be getting worse. I'm seeing temperatures of 42F regularly now. I'm way past the 30 day return window, so I'm going to have to eat the cost. My guess is that they are shipping these units with bad compressors or low quality compressors. Because this is exactly what it looks like when a compressor slowly dies: the temperature moves steadily upward over a long period of time. It's a shame because this is an otherwise REALLY NICE fridge. I love the space inside and the compartments. It's effectively perfect in every way except for the fact that it can't keep my beer cold. What a disappointment.

Works well, sleek looking, quiet, small dent noted upon arrival
So far I like this unit. My older Sanyo fridgeโs door gasket was really worn and the freezer compartment would ice-up in two weeks. It was 10 years old (or older) so I wanted something around $200 that would optimize the space o have for a large mini-fridge, be quiet-ish, and store some cans, juices and food. I use it in our man cave/second living room which now doubles as my home office. I like having space for seltzers and the kids juices as well as some food and snacks. This suits my needs very well. Itโs quieter than my old fridge and I went with the gray/silver color, which looks like stainless steel. Magnets are able to work on the front as well, which is nice. The space inside is perfect and well used. I donโt love the glass shelves. They look nice enough and are easy to clean but I wouldโve preferred thicker plastic-like clear shelves. Received-status: Upon receipt there was a fairly small dent in the top, back right of the fridge (shown in one of the photos with the red circle). Luckily nothing in the front where you would see it, mainly because this slides under a counter space. I was hesitant to buy any fridges listed on Amazon because they ALL seemed to have that complaint. Also there were tiny dings in the back corners of the removable glass shelves (shown in a picture, not circled in red). Nothing worth sending it back over, but still slightly annoying. The shelves did have styrofoam protectors on the left and right edges for shipment, but not at the rear - likely a cause of the dings/chips to the glass shelves. Overall the fridge is working great and got cool within 20 minutes. It was outside for a few hours and it was 68 degrees F most of the afternoon, so I was impressed it got cool so quickly. I would purchase it again, for sure. Just assume youโre likely to have some sort of dent from shipment and maybe a ding to the glass shelves. 4.5 out of 5 stars (only due to the dents and dings)

Perfect size for limited space.
I had a larger Black & Decker fridge for nearly 3 years and it was reliable and I loved it. My situation changed and needed something smaller. I looked for the perfect 1.7 cu.ft. and went straight to B&D again! I know it will last me for a long time!

Doesn't get cold
Worked fine at the beginning until it started not being cold enough to store anything but beverages.
