We purchased the SafeRest Waterproof King Size Mattress Protector to use on our Leopard 40 Catamaran, and it has worked out perfectly. Our bed is an unusual size since it is larger than a queen but smaller than a king and this protector fits it very well. It’s also very easy to put on. You install it just like a fitted sheet, so it goes on quickly and stays securely in place around the mattress. One of the things we really appreciate is how comfortable it is. Unlike some waterproof protectors, it doesn’t make any crunchy or plastic-like noise when you move around. It’s soft and quiet, so it feels just like sleeping on a normal mattress cover. The waterproof feature works exactly as advertised. I accidentally spilled water on the bed, and the mattress underneath stayed completely dry. That alone gives us a lot of peace of mind, especially on a boat where protecting bedding is important. Nice fit on my queen mattress. If you are going to spend a decent amount of money on a quality mattress then you definitely should invest a little bit on some protection for it. I've had a couple drink spills on it and even though it seeped through my sheets it did not seep through the mattress protecter.

Functionality & Protection I purchased this SafeRest protector in 2022 specifically because I have elderly cats. It has saved my mattress from "accidents" more than a few times over the last four years. The feel is excellent; it features a soft cloth top over the waterproof layer, so you don’t feel like you are sleeping on a sheet of crinkly plastic. Performance & Comfort One of the best features is the sweat resistance. Despite the waterproof barrier, I haven't noticed any extra warmth or "hot sleeping" issues that usually come with cheaper covers. It remains breathable while staying 100% functional. Sturdiness & Fit It installs easily and very snugly on my Queen mattress. Even after four years of heavy use, I have noticed the sturdiness of the sides despite their thin material. Note that this is a "fitted sheet" style protector, so there is no zipper quality to worry about—it just slips right on and stays put under your regular sheets. Value for Money While the sides might not last much longer, this protector has more than met my expectations for its life expectancy. For the price, the peace of mind it provides for my mattress is well worth it.

Barely notice this under the sheet. Fits snug on our extra deep pillow top king. I was worried it would make us hot but it hasn't yet. I washed it right out of the box, a bit tricky to dry though, because of the plastic backing. I used no heat for 20 minutes then hung to dry over night, no damage to the plastic barrier and the cotton side was nice and soft. Excellent product.
