I think it is safe for non stick pans. I use them on both regular and non stick pans. No issues.

How wide is the brush? Will it fit in normal drinking glasses or coffee mugs?

I use the brush mostly for pots and pans and to rinse plates. It does fit larger coffee mugs, not sure about drinking glasses.
