Dictionary Of Color Combinations Volume 2

Volume 2 continues the great color combinations of the 1st Volume, but the combinations are more complex, with more colors. There's even a section of art in the form of paintings, prints, woven work, etc. that you see on one page while on the opposite page is the breakdown of the colorations in bars with no image. What this does is show how the art works, and then how the combinations also work. Also more of the simplified 2 and 3 combinations that I think I prefer as more minimal. Again, these are ranged from light and airy to darkly saturated -and all curiously satisfying and worth study and trying them out. On the computer it's possible to match any tone or hue, so there's a path that only requires finding the right starting color then paying attention to the combination. Not that it's an end-all, but a beginning. Any of those can be shifted or modified with ease but it depends on how they fit a real-time application and not a formula. But the horizons have already been expanded so there's more, and even more.

It's a good reference for combined color choices. Choose a primary color and find which colors work with the color. I found it's just for reference only being the colors are from a different time but color is color and the combinations is what's interesting and may use.

Over 70 pages of beautiful month-by-month color combos, over 200 pages of applying those combinations on design, English preface and color names ... yes! The format is small and handy.

It is way smaller than expected but it is amazing in content. The only think I do not like is that it has an extremely soft external cover, which worries me on the long run.

Auch ohne konkreten Plan macht es Spaß, sich einfach nur die vielen wunderschönen Kombinationen, teilweise auch mit Beispielbildern, anzusehen und auf sich einwirken zu lassen. Einfach nur schön.

Hola. Me parece una guía excelente. Creo que Zanzo Wada hizo un trabajo extraordinario, tras su viaje por Europa, para recopilando toda su experiencia y conocimientos en este manual. El libro empieza con un sistema de combinaciones de colores según distintas aplicaciones que me parece muy útil, práctivo y extenso. La clasificación y códigos de color CMYK de los colores también es excelente. Y el sistema de fichas para recortar y poder trabajar creando tus propias combinaciones también una idea genial. Desde luego es un manual completamente práctico y enfocado al uso profesional. Había leído muchas obras con muchas teoría pero este es al revés, enfoque práctico 100%. Un saludo
