BOSS Audio Systems BV9351B

This unit is fantastic. Coupled with a great deal on black Friday, it's a no brainer. It went into an older Chevy Colorado, with the OEM radio only capable of playing radio stations. The radio it replaced had a disc player broken, no aux jack, no bluetooth. It was painful. Purchased this with a metra GM interface adapter, antenna adapter, and metra GM double din installation kit (only for the brackets, I didn't need the faceplate). Installation was a breeze. I used butt joints with shrink fitting ends. I didn't even attempt to wire a rear view camera or the parking brake to the dvd player. I will not be watching DVD's while parked so this was not a concern. The unit fit perfectly, looks like it should be there, and works great. The chimes from the metra installation kit were key, as losing my OEM radio this is something that is lost in GM vehicles. Sound quality - know what you are buying. I have a small pickup truck with 6 speakers in it. It takes very little to sound big in my vehicle. If you are looking to hook up an amp and have a high performance system, you may be disappointed. This is not even trying to compete with the high end units....it is out there to be the everyday, average user. For me, it sounds fantastic. The bluetooth capability is wonderful, and doesn't skip a beat (except when my phone has to re-buffer the signal). I am guessing the aux jack works well, but I haven't used it...the less wires the better! Also, bluetooth charging is supported which is quite nice. I have made/received a few calls - this unit is wonderful. The folks at the other end didn't even know I was in my truck, and said it sounded fantastic. With the audio piped through the car speakers, I have zero complaints. This radio is built for the average user, and performs well above average. I highly recommend if you are looking for a replacement to your OEM radio.

These touch screens have always been an issue with only because I am old and like to push buttons. I am getting used to this technology though. I installed this in a 2003 Ford PU truck. So now I have blue tooth and I purchased a backup camera in the tailgate handle. No need to trade the truck in now. I am at least up to a 2010 technology. I would like to find the setting on the radio so the radio does not automatically come on when I start the truck. Otherwise, not bad for the price.

Good car stereo I really like it

This review is for multiple items which was copied into each product review. I recently purchased this Boss Audio Systems BV9351B Boss Audio Double-Din, Bluetooth, DVD/CD/USB/MP3/Wma, FM/Am Receiver for my 2008 Smart Fortwo Cabrio and I love it! It is such an upgrade to the standard head unit. The reason I upgraded to this unit is because of the added Bluetooth/USB Charging ports. The unit itself I feel is a steal for the price. Some of the better aspects are the responsive touch screen, ease of use, and all the listening functions. If I were to be picky I would change two things. One, I would like the volume button to be more responsive on first turn. I believe that is purposely lagged in case you accidentally bump the dial. Two, the USB port can't stream from USB to iPod/iPhone. You have to either use the Bluetooth or Aux port. This was my first unit install and it was easier than expected. All the cords were labeled and I bought a great harness which made it even easier. The harness I bought was a Metra 70-1783 Radio Wiring Harness for Smart Car . It was color coordinated and made for a very easy install. It added a level of confidence for a first time installer like me. For the antenna I used the Metra Electronics 40-VW10 Factory Antenna to Aftermarket Radio Adapter for Select 1988-Up Audi/BMW/Mercedes/SMART Vehicles . It was an easy plug and play adapter. Lastly, the dash kit I used to add that OEM look was the Scosche ST2430B 2008 Smart ForTwo Passion/Pure Double DIN or DIN With Pocket . The kit came with an extra din to hold items however I purchased a double din system. The kit came with easy instructions and added a factory look. Just be careful with the provided screws because they can damage the brackets if you aren't careful. Overall, my first install was easier, quicker, and better than I expected. If you use the products in the review you wont be disappointed! Update: One day after install the original Boss unit I purchased started having the touch issues as stated in some of the reviews where it recognized you were touching it but failed to respond. I did the return process through Amazon and received a new one the next day! I installed the replacement 5 days ago and haven't had any issues so far (fingers crossed.) If it happens again I will update the review.

This unit is horrible, I really think that anyone who gives this unit 5 stars can't afford better nor has ever had better or just doesn't know any better, or it's someone at the boss company trying to filter the bad reviews it gets by the hundreds.. I'll never purchase this thing again in my life, if you want to tell the time bring your watch our better ready to check on your smart phone because this unit doesn't save the time after you import the time because as soon as the unit is off it resets smh. The Bluetooth is horrible on it as far as connecting to your phone and actually staying connected sometimes it even takes minutes just to disconnect it from your phone once you connect it... Also on the unit the delay or lag is horrible I'm not sure why it runs so slow but it really does plus it is always freezing, I bought two of these units just to see if both would do the same and guess what they did, please if your looking for a good touch screen blue tooth just spend the extra money get somethin quality (( Don't)) purchase this unit you'll be very upset.... They'll only get one star because I have to give one

Excellent product, satisfied with my purchase, you would expect from the price that it would be of cheap quality but the unit is of good quality, the touch screen is as responsive as $599 units from bestbuy that I checked out before ultimately purchasing the BOSS double din unit sound quality is great in comparison to factory radio and user interface is similar to top brand audio head units. Had to get adapters for it to fit in my cars dash as well as wiring harnesses which I opted to pay double/triple for the same brand at Best buy so I could return in the event I got the wrong harness adapter. I'll be sure to update in the event it stops working/fails. Careful when installing any electrical device when you are connecting wires yourself, mis-wiring could cause a short circuit and turn the unit into a paper weight.

I think that this is a good unit. It has just the features that are needed, nothing more. In my opinion, the speaker output on this unit is more powerful than a stock radio, so those of you that are not upgrading your speakers, turn up the volume carefully! I do enjoy the user interface, the numbers and letters are easy to read across all of the apps that are included in the device. The backup camera works without a hitch, and the bluetooth pairs automatically and will begin to play music if that's how I last used it. Listening to people on the phone is excellent, however I need to speak a little louder than needed, and it helps to lean towards the screen. So why 3 stars? The unit is unstable when using the radio and you receive a phone call. This is very intermittent, and it happens 3-4 times per week. Sometimes when I am using the radio, and I get an incoming call, the whole unit freezes, and I cannot get it to respond or turn off unless I push the tiny reset button with a pin. Then, after I get it started, the phone won't pair to it unless I delete the profile from both the head unit, and the phone, and repair from ground zero. I called tech support about this and they were not too much help. If this gets any worse, I'll have to send it in to Boss for a replacement. Apart from that, I would love a little more customization ability to the interface, such as rearranging the icons, different wallpaper selection, or even selecting one from the SD card. I'm okay with where it's at, but I would appreciate the ability to tweak it.

I love that this does exactly what I want it to do. Bluetooth my phone to stream music, play movies (ground the brake wire to the black ground for it to always be active), and plays cds plus I can jam out to long boring commercials on radio stations. I didn't use the remote yet because the screen is right there, I mean right freaking there, you don't even need to lean forward for anything because the screen is right freaking there. I have some RCA's on standby for when I hook up some subs. I plugged into the two blue sub1andsub2 with red being on top, hopefully did that right, if someone wants to chime in and let me know if I'm wrong or not that would be greatly appreciated.

Works very well, easy to install if you know what youre doing, touch screen has a very minor delay but works well for the value

I thought this would be a good head unit for my car, but I've had nothing but problems with it since it was installed. Professional install so I had them check it out. No issues with the installation, but the head unit still randomly resets. And not even the whole thing, only some functions reset like one time it'll be preset stations resetting, another time it's the bluetooth and retain acc power disabled, other times the EULA and phone settings reset to default, sometimes it won't power up at all when I start my car. Once or twice the EQ reset itself. All in all, not worth the money I spent on it. Buyer beware. UPDATE: Unit is completely resetting almost daily now, well all except the bluetooth for some reason. This thing is so frustrating I can't wait to be rid of it. What's worse is that I can't even resell it and recoup some of my money, with the way it is working I wouldn't dare sell that to someone else. I'll never buy a Boss Audio product again!

Montado en mi auto Ford Focus Europa 2007, funciona bien en general, pero en ocasiones se queda bloqueado y aun con el auto apagado, el stereo no se apaga. Debo quitar la energía desconectando la batería para que pierda energía y que pueda funcionar correctamente.

Lo compre en Mayo, tiene 5 meses y ya la pantalla se perdió a la mitad, quería ver si tenía garantía y ya venció. Tiene muy poco tiempo para ya haber fallado, no lo recomiendo. No se dónde mandarlo a componer😰😰😰😰
