I needed to replace two, utilitarian, cardboard file boxes that have been sitting in my dining rm/office for a while. I knew I wanted brown boxes to replace them, but I hesitated when I found these for two reasons: (1) one reviewer lamented that the color was a lighter shade of brown than pictured, and (2) coast-to-coast shipping costs were fairly high. Having just received two of them, it was money well-spent, and I couldn't be happier. The color is near exact to what I viewed on my computer screen, and the boxes are such good quality that the shipping expense was well worth it. These are faux leather that actually looks authentic and not at all cheap. The interior is completely lined with felt, as is the outside bottom. I am happy not to have to worry about scratching my wood floors if I drag them. So far they seem very sturdy and were able to accommodate every file I transferred from my old, cardboard boxes. All-in-all I couldn't be more pleased. My room looks more polished now instead of like I'm packing up to move.

This is about the handiest item in my office. Well I use some as file boxes, I also realized these handy items can hide a multitude of sins. I keep the papers that need shredded in another box comma books and papers that I don't want to look messy just hanging around in a third and even drop my book bag in the fourth. I can just close the lid and make my office look pristine for anyone walking through. Thank you for such a great and handy box

I love this attractive file box with the rails for hanging files. For the moment, I just have regular tabbed file folders in the box, but eventually I'll switch over to using the filing rails. I have a filing cabinet upstairs, but this smaller box is really nice to keep next to my computer downstairs. I recommend it!

This was a replacement for an identical file box that had fallen appart from wear. I would have given five stars except the file holder bar is held by weak fabric straps that snap in with four snaps. There is no way it would have held the weight of my files. It bowed when I loaded it and you could see that it would wear out. I used a standard metal file frame and it fits perfectly. I took out the flimsy piece.

We have two other boxes similar. This one is the same size and since stored in a study, it fits in perfectly.

they dont tell you that this box is only useful if you use it for LEGAL size hanging files. Otherwise the lid opens sideways and is a joke. Mine also came with a broken snap where one of the hangers should be. Sent it back. Disappointing.

My husband saves and obsessively files everything (which I have to admit does come in handy sometimes) and I wanted to find a stylish way for him to keep his files. This hanging storage box is very sturdy, stylish and useful. They are so nice looking that we keep 3 of them in the living room on the bottom shelves of our bookcases.
