It works perfectly.. it seems well made, and I am definitely pleased.. it's for my 21 year old daughter who's out of state at University.. it's perfect for her. Baton Rouge is an unsafe town.

Good protection pen if needed. I’m using it when I walk my dog at night.

Mine has held a charge for several months sitting so far. The Arc does not seem to hit on all points unless fully, tip top, charged. I would envision it would work well enough IF YOU HIT someone in the raw skin of the neck with it. Maybe thru a t-shirt if you press hard. I bought mine specifically with “taking out the trash in the dark” scenario in mind. (Night drop bank deposit, ATM, etc also comes to mind. The Flashlight function and size would confuse any would be attacker. Maybe use on a dog, etc. Fact is if you really need true protection these days you need a “Concealed Carry...”

Pleased with the product itself, meets expectations; however, very displeased that the package was already opened on both ends, halfway sliding out when I opened the Amazon bag (as pictured), so I'm certain it is used. I know it was NOT my Amazon delivery person, as packaging was in a sealed Amazon bag. Not a lot of confidence in item's condition or whether it's going to last due to prior use/treatment. 🙁 Seller should address issue/reply. // For the record, our dog booked it out of the room when we tested this out, though we were far from where he was standing. This is bought to protect him from stray dogs around our neighborhood and wooded parks, hopefully only to scare them with the sound, and also aggressive unleashed dogs (with irresponsible owners). We'll hope it still works if coyotes show up.

Portable and looks and sounds like it would give a zap. I like the battery indicator, the flashlight function and plan to keep one in my purse and by my bed. It feels safe yet easy to use.

I love the pen but it’s been a minute since I charged the pen. I was able to turn the pen light indicator off. Now it constantly stays on. What does this mean? Is it dying or broken? The charge light indicator stays on constantly now. Why?

I am a mail person and I got this for dog deterent. The noise makes dogs shy away and gives me space to do my job. I love the small size I carry it everywhere.

I purchased this originally back in December. Upon the pre-charged device finally running out (from using the light feature), the window for returns had closed. Instead of bothering to seek a refund that was no longer available, I decided to simply spend another $20 or so on another one. Big mistake. The new one I just received I drained the battery on by leaving the light on, and the top of the pen (where it connects for charging) is JUST as poor of a connection as the previous one. While it lines up and connects, it will not draw power. I have concluded that this product is the most INFERIOR one made on the market, and should be avoided at all costs. While most of these types of devices have the same issue (charging), these are by far the cheapest. Most poorly made of them all. No value, as it’s only good until the light runs out. God forbid you actually have to use it to protect yourself from an attacker, intruder, or assailant, because while it holds the pre-charge for awhile (now you know why they do that), it isn’t going to be able to be used but as a paper-weight, afterward. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.
