Does it lock in place when in use very well ?

I used this blade very heavily for two years at a Costco depot. Never had it slip once from its locked position. Best box blade I've found so far. I still use it today and that is over five years now. The only thing I've had to do is change the blade out when it gets dull. Other than that no problems and excellent for heavy daily usage
