Rome: A Marked Men Novel

Jay Crownover sait décidément comment nous rendre accro ! Depuis le premier tome, j'avais vraiment envie de découvrir l'histoire de Rome. Ce grand frère si protecteur, cet ami si important pour Shaw, cet homme engagé pour son pays. Pour tout vous dire, je l’idolâtrais un peu. Même si Rule reste mon chouchou. Je me suis donc lancée dans cette lecture, certaine quelle me plairait. Je ne me suis pas trompée ! Ce troisième tome est encore meilleur que le précédent et à pas grand chose du premier, qui avait été un coup de coeur ! Ici, nous retrouvons donc Rome, le frère de Rule, et Cora, l'amie de Shaw et de toute la bande d'ailleurs ! Une chose est sûre, la plume de Jay Crownover est hyper addictive ! Et ses personnages sont juste incroyables ! Le personnage de Cora, qui dans les tomes précédents me plaisait déjà beaucoup, est un personnage auquel on s'attache très rapidement. Ce petit brin de fille qui croque la vie à pleines dents malgré son coeur brisé m'a de suite plu ! Elle est une amie fidèle, loyale et prête à tout. Sa personnalité a vraiment fait que j'ai accroché à l'histoire. Pour Rome, au début j'ai vraiment cru que j'allais lui en vouloir ! Notre revenu de guerre n'est plus le frère qu'il était. Il n'est plus que l'ombre de lui même. Brisé par ce qu'il a vécu, il crache son désespoir sur ses proches. Son comportement, bien que justifié, m'a vraiment fait peur. J'ai cru que je n'allais plus autant l'apprécier ! Mais c'est grâce à Cora qu'il va tout faire pour remonter la pente ! Je n'ai pas eu autant d'émotion qu'avec l'histoire de Rule et Shaw, mais je peux vous dire que celle de Rome et Cora est juste superbe ! Pas mal de passages m'ont fait craquer, avec un sourire tout bête sur le visage, et je ne regrette vraiment pas cette lecture ! D'ailleurs, comme toujours, Jay Crownover nous réserve son lot de surprises et rebondissements en tout genre ! Tenez-vous prêtes ! En conclusion, j'ai adoré cette lecture, et bien sur, je la recommande ! Hâte de lire l'histoire de Nash et Saint que l'on découvre un peu plus ! Note : 9/10 [...]

Adoro esta serie me encanto el libro

Jay Crownover has done it again...she's made me fall in love with another guy in the Marked Men series, and I'm not sure who I love the most so far. Rome has always piqued my interest since the first book, and I was so excited to read his story. Well let's just say Jay delivered in a BIG way! Everything about this story was perfection, and Rome might just be my favorite so far. As with her previous books, Jay wrote a wonderfully captivating and moving story that quickly finds a place in your heart. But this novel went above and beyond my expectations. Seriously, it's that good. This story seemed more emotional to me, and reminds us all that sometimes the idea of perfect manifests itself in a totally unexpected way. Rome has always been something of a quandary. You don't know too much about him besides the fact that he's the eldest Archer brother, he's a soldier (a super duper sexy soldier), and extremely protective. Well what you never realized in the previous two books is that he is also broken on the inside. Rome is haunted by the past, both his family and his time as a soldier, and it's making his life extremely difficult. He doesn't know what to do anymore, and is basically lost. But what he didn't expect was a certain stubborn pixie to completely uproot his life and feelings and make him see how wonderful life can actually be. Everything about Rome's character I loved. He has so much depth, and Jay wrote his character brilliantly. You could truly feel the emotions his character went through during the story, and it made for an extremely gripping read. Cora, who we have gotten to know over the previous two books, has always been one of my favorite characters. I saw so much of her in myself, and could relate to her a bit more than the other two female leads (Shaw and Ayden). Cora is feisty, sassy, stubborn, and doesn't take anyone's crap. Couple that with looking like a punk Tinkerbell, how can you not love her?! This book has made her character even more loveable, and we get to know her so much more. I feel like after reading this novel that we understand Cora much better than before, and on a much deeper level. We see what she has gone through and how she has fought to become the person she is today. I can't express enough how much I loved watching Cora and Rome fall in love. Everything about their romance was perfect, and their personalities made them absolutely perfect for each other. Their love for each other comes to life, and jumps off the page. Cora and Rome are both broken people, but when they come together, they are like two pieces of a puzzle, and fit just right. Their relationship wasn't filled with angst and crazy drama like Jet and Ayden's (one of my complaints from Jet. Sure, there was drama, I mean come on...it's a Jay Crownover book, there's going to be some drama. But it was the perfect balance. Cora and Rome's romance felt real and heartfelt, and I loved every single second of it. There are some major shocks in this book, and you won't expect any of it. Let's just say, the ending had me on the edge of my seat, holding my breath. I flew through the pages because I had to know what was going to happen. I highly recommend reading this novel as it is easily my favorite in the series so far. I loved reading about Rome and Cora, and could literally never get enough of them. I am so excited to check out the rest of this series, and love me so more Marked Men. Based on the ending of this one, Nash's story is going to be interesting. Don't miss out on this one! this book had excitement, comedy and drama...makes for excellent reading.. I made sure i bought all in the books in the series to complete the journey .... Read about the author i can relate to her on all things.....Hopefully more books to come...

I was only missing Rome now I have them all!!!! Its such a good series. I recommend it ^_^
