Supermoto tachometer
I use this on my supermoto. Honestly, great product. It keeps track of my hours so I know when to do oil changes. It works flawlessly providing RPM readings. U can set it to flash red when you reach a certain rpm. Mine lives outside and has been very weather resistant. Mine has the circular temp probe, and it was easy to find a vent hose to slide this under on my top end. I like keeping an eye on my temp ranges/knowing when my bikes warmed up/overheating.. I also like at the end of each ride I can look & see what my max rpm was during that ride. I go ham so it's a good chill TF out reminder ๐ Cons: my only complaint is that its annoying to turn off. If you don't want to leave it on 24/7 then u have to push both the buttons simultaneously and hold for 2-3 seconds. Not a big deal, but annoying when u can't just click a button real quick like, have to use two hands, and have to take off your gloves to do so. With that said, I'm still very pleased with the purchase. Sorry for the bad pic, it's the only one I have and it's raining so I'm not going outside to take a better one. Zoom in, it's mounted on my triple clamp and flashing red bc it was time for maintenance.

Must-have for my TW200 motorcycle
I have a TW200 motorcycle and this is a must have addition. It displays both the RPM and the temp at the same time, and I find both numbers very helpful on the bike. I mounted it just above the "light cluster" with the included Velcro and it works great (and will let me change its battery without hassle). Installation was just a bit tricky, I had to gently bend the temp prob to get it to sit nicely in the sparkplug (and then some insulation melted away from the prob but it didn't impact performance). For the RPM, I had to use the setting for a 1 cylinder 2-stroke (even though it is a 4-stroke) for some reason, but it works great with this setting. I now know my bike's "happy" temperature is about 265 degrees, and have an alarm set for 350 degrees and 8500 RPM. On a recent ride in Death Valley it helped me keep an eye on my temperature (bike reached 330!) If you have a TW200, do yourself a huge favor and get this. It is really, really helpful. Peace. Out.

Assembly
TLDR: REPLACE THE BATTERY WITH A QUALITY ONE BEFORE YOU AFFIX IT THE UNIT PERMANENTLY. THE ONES THEY GIVE YOU ARE JUNK. The left terminal (in the picture marked positive (+)) needs to be contacting the side/top of the battery that is +/smooth side up. So if necessary, pry it up gently just a hair with the little screwdriver they send you, so you can slide the battery underneath. The third photo is the finished install prior to cap. I flattened it out a bit with my thumbnail. OK. Iโve had several of these units and the first bunch worked fine. Really well actually for the price point. I ordered another one in July, I fiddled with it for about 30 mins and I couldnโt get it to turn on so I requested a replacement. Well. First of all, Iโm an idiot, because I know how batteries work and terminals work and I was just super foggy that day apparently. I solder circuit boards and build auto welding machines for a living, so I had some brain fog that day apparently. I digress, the positive terminal was smashed down by the battery from the factory. Same with the new one I just got. A little more clear headed I was able to figure it out in about 8 seconds after an initial bout of frustration. LONG STORY SHORT: if the left tab in the second picture is folded down it needs to be gently pried back up. Itโs the positive terminal that interfaces with the top (smooth (+)) part of the battery. The hashed side is the negative that sits in the bed. Hope this helps, because I couldnโt find any help out there in my brief โI donโt want to think about this, just workโ moment.

So far so good
Ordered one, didn't turn on. Put in new battery, still dead. Did return and replacement showed up next day. Same thing, dead. No way both had issues. I started inspecting the battery connections. The side prong was flattened down. I took a sharp object and bent side prong up. This made the side prong touch the side of the battery and the center prong touches the middle, it then worked. If you get one that doesn't work, check the battery prong connections. Programming was actually easy also.

Cable looks terrible and will look horrible on my new bike. See, short tutorial on light issue.
Edit 2, short tutorial on 'light'; When it is cloudy or dark the light is useful, the manual indicates this method, but the manual and menu/select is chinglish and not very clear. Default display (this is what shows on screen when you haven't touched any buttons for a minute or so... The display shows hours, Temp, and Time, now push in and hold 'S' until time on screen flashes, let go of S , now press M (mode) 11 times (lol) and you will be at 'Light' flashing, now press S until it says on , off , or auto, whichever you prefer, then do nothing and just wait a min, and your selection will be saved. (I upped my rating a couple stars, since I at least got the light issue figured out, still should have a separate light button though.) Edit 1; There isn't really anything like this available in this price range, or any price for that matter that includes rpm, temp, hours, alerts etc, however some horrible issues; -I have a 4st, needs to be on 2st to read rpms properly (thanks to another reviewer that alerted us to this, found 'that' hack to make it work). -The temp prob to spark plug ring 'Crimp' is larger I lucked out and got it to fit without stripping the plug threads as it's so large, you may not have room in the plug area to interface properly, also the ring is very larger, luckily the bike I have has the larger size plug, a smaller plug may not seat air tight due to the large ring. -Only two programming buttons, 3 would make life so much simpler. - Should be a separate light on/off switch or accurate means of turning on and off. .....(this light issue erased, figured it out) I've gone through this aspect of the feature a dozen times at least, trying variations, nothing allows you to even get to the 'light' one time and turn it on or off, hold the scroll button for a long time the first time around for example and when you're on 'light' , it will bump over to 'TIME' and start flashing, this alone deserves less than a one STAR rating. -Mentioned already was the very tedious and difficult battery replacement, if you haven't seen their 'design' , best of luck, plus the battery starts flashing 'low bat' almost as soon as you load it lol (with light off even). -I would happily pay 3 times the price of this to get one that is well designed and easy to use. This item works, and fairly well in some ways, and would buy again since there are no items that I can find that monitor RPM, TEMP, HRs, and some other parameters. ------------------- The cable comes waded up in a figure 8, I guess they think that looks pro in the package, well it's going to look horrible on my new motorcycle. I spent 5 minutes trying to straighten it out and the photo is after this attempt. Not at all happy with how this will look, the other extension cable is the same. There is no excuse for this shoddy packaging, there was plenty of room to simply have it rolled up, but I guess that wouldn't look pro to the manufacturer lol , I mean lmao, but not in a good way. I will update the rest of the product performance in a few days.

Takes the guesswork on tuning my Outboard Motor.
It works perfect. Easy to read. Easy to install. Somewhat easy to program. Battery life is a few weeks if you don't disable it after use. Just press the two buttons at the same time and it will shut down. Touch one again and it will turn back on instantly. A 6pk of batteries is cheap and will last years. I use it to keep and eye on engine temp too... but it is mainly used from RPMs on my little 2004 Mercury 5HP 2-stroke outboard engine. I was able to adjust proper idle rpms for a good running engine @ idle/under load. I was also able to realize that my max RPMs were too high with the stock prop... so, I got a new prop, and can now go faster. One shot needed/no guessing required. This made this a very valuable modification. Not having to pull out my phone to check the time when on the water, may save me a phone too.

Great hour meter for small engines
I recently replaced the 5hp Briggs on my Troy-Bilt Pony tiller with a Predator motor and really wanted to keep track of hours. This unit was easy to install, has a replaceable battery and stores data after battery change, backlit display, tach, run time, total time and 24 hour clock. The tach bounces around sometimes, which I may need to tighten the wraps on the plug wire, but as far as hours, it works great. I suggest turning off the backlight and save the battery. Iโve been running it two weeks, put 1.6 hours in the 224cc motor so far and Iโm really pleased. I didnโt want to guess on oil hours so this is perfect. This unit is always in display mode so it doesnโt start up when the motor starts, so keep the backlight off as mentioned.

All I asked for and more
This is the second Runleader I have purchased and I am completely satisfied with both. They are easy to install (although the instructions could be a little better / clearer), are very good value for money (half the price of the unit sold by the mower manufacturer) with multiple functions as opposed to a plain hour meter. Add to that, it was delivered by Intelcom just three days after placing the order although there was a small fee. Very impressed and I will buy again for my quad.

Works well
I used the unit in the car to monitor the coolant temperature. I found that the rpm reading is not very accurate, and I will try to wrap more than five turns later. The two button controls are not too easy to use. I forgot if there was manual with the unit. I did the settings by guessing.

Junk
It does not shut off . Kills the battery in 2 days . It then got wet while working on our excavator and it completely died .
