I have a torque ratchet set for my car, as I do my own maintenance so when it was time to service my mountain bike, I thought I would treat myself to a nice set. When I do something myself, I know it has been done right and I get the satisfaction of being able to do things for myself. Price at review: £41.99 I wasn't looking to go for bottom price. I would rather buy something that is going to last a lifetime and save me money overall by spending a bit more first time. I went for this set because it mentioned coming with a calibration certificate, which in my mind meant I could trust it to do what it says. The fact it comes with a certificate and is not the cheapest product helped me make up my mind. If you have wondered onto this page just looking for a set that you can use to tighten and loosen bike parts and don't care about torque, you can save yourself some money by buying a different and cheaper set. If you have an expensive bike or another reason to care for your bike, you should think seriously about getting this set. A torque wrench allows precise tightening of parts and stops you from accidentally tightening too much, which can warp or shear parts off your bike. It basically stops you from breaking your bike and the cost and frustration that would cause. So torque can also be referred to as clamping force. If you apply too much force to bike parts, especially brake rotors and callipers (which heat up a lot) it can cause bolts to snap. If a bolt on any part of your bike snaps when you are going down hill, it would be extremely dangerous. First impressions Good The set comes in a black, well designed set that holds the bits firmly The set is quite heavy and picking up the torque wrench reveals it is well balanced and reassures me that it is a quality tool because it is weighty The handle is a good size to fit in my hand and the grip is comfortable to hold and works well The writing is very clear and easy to read and the torque can be set either by pounds per square inch or newton-metre It is very each to use without reading the instructions, to change the torque you pull the silver metal collar down with your thumb and index finger and it stays unlocked until pushed back up Includes a calibration certificate indicating it is accurate to within 4%, which means it can be used with peace of mind by professionals and amateurs alike Could be better Turning the handle to change the torque is quite hard and not completely smooth, particularly if changing from one extreme to another and having to twist the handle for any length of time Thoughts after use This is a tool that anyone could pick up and easily use without much thought and now I have it, I don't have to worry that I am going to overtighten bolts any more. The case is good quality and tough, providing protection from moisture and means I am not concerned about rust or damaging the parts. All the parts connect nicely and once put together they are held securely. Once torque is set and the correct amount of pressure has been applied, you receive a clicking feedback to indicate you are done. Once finished, it isn't frustratingly difficult to remove the parts and putting them back in the case is easy. In use I witnessed the quality of the parts, which is immediately apparent when you start working at greater torques. As you would expect in this price range, none of them snapped or twisted. I put them through their paces and now know I can rely on them when I next come to service my bike. The price is fair for the quality and I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to start looking after their bike properly.

Great little socket set and torque wrench for my bikes , essential especially for a carbon frame. A lot of tools that I have purchased in the past for maintaining the bikes have ended up in the bin as cheaply manufactured junk. Although this socket is of Chinese origin after some research on a well known search app I found that it gets a thumbs up from most buyers .The wrench feels well made and precise as do the sockets it gives an audible "click" when the torque setting has been reached and there are plenty of sockets and an extension bar to get at what I need to great little kit for motor cycles too

Wish the tool set came with a 13mm socket they only come in even amounts however it is still a good set

This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve made this year. After a recent experience of being stuck on the motorway where I could have resolved my the issue if I had a torque wrench, I thought I’d better buy one if it ever happened again! This particular wrench is absolutely perfect - it even comes with a calibration certificate to show the rigorous testing it has gone through. I tried it on my tyre and it was an absolute breeze. Very easy to use with minimal effort. The quality of the wrench itself feels very expensive and of very high standard. For the price it’s exceptional and I highly recommend to just keep in your car. It doesn’t take much space at all and in an emergency it’s superb!

I ordered this as I wanted a small torque wrench for use on my bike. This is a 1/4 inch wrench with a two-way ratchet. The plastic box contains a selection of 1/4 inch drive sockets, keys and drivers to cope with most of my requirements. Setting the wrench involves unlocking it and setting the torque by rotating the handle. The wrench is then used like a standard socket set and turned until there is a click and movement between the arm of the wrench and its head. This clicking is easy to feel and indicates the desired torque has been reached. The set is comprehensive and easy to use.

Arrived on time and we’ll packed. Great kit, nice assortment of bits, case is not too cheap and the ratchet works very well with a very noticeable click when you reach the set limit. Read the very mixed reviews on here and I tend to believe that user error is probably the main reason for the complaints… as it’s for low torque settings, unless you listen and feel for the click, you might miss it, but on my one that arrived, I’d have to be dancing to Faithless and drinking vodka red bull not to notice it! Although not a known brand, for me it was well worth the extra bit of money compared to other budget options.

Sits in the middle of the price bracket for Torque Wrenches. It is Certificated and the various sockets look well made, Only time will tell but this is a tool that you only use for the final Torquing up so should last. Only has Nm on the scale but I don't see that as a problem, virtually everything is Nm first then Lb/ft second now-a-days. Nice easy to use adjuster. Case is substantial and so is the tool itself. The instructions are very sparse however and while fine for me, if its your first Torque wrench you may wander what and how - pictograms are small and B/W. Overall for the price cant fault it.

Ci sono dei serraggi che non devono e non possono essere fatti a sensazione, ma devono essere fatti con una precisa forza. Questa chiave è ben costruita, arriva ad esercitare una forza di 25 Nm e va bene per la maggior parte dei serraggi da fare su cicli, motocicli, kart e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Ovviamente non è indicata per il serraggio dei bulloni ruote auto, per quelle servono coppie maggiori. La chiave è di qualità e viene fornita con un certificato di taratura. E' corredata di diversi accessori e bussole e prolunghe per poter effettuare i serraggi. Consiglio l'acquisto

I bought this tool kit for my Radrover 6+ eBike. The kit contains most of the necessary tools needed for basic maintenance. It's too big to carry on the bike but handy to have available when the bike is stored.
