These pens write smoothly and consistently, with a clean, precise line that never skips. They feel comfortable in the hand, the ink flows perfectly, and the fine tip is great for detailed writing. A dependable everyday pen that always delivers excellent results

I've used so many different pens and keep coming back to this one. The tip is the perfect size for writing or doodling, and the color is the perfect dark blue. There's a small amount of ghosting on thin paper, but I usually use these in journals that have a thicker page.

Pilot is and will always be my brand of pen, being a producer and writer myself, so to have a dependable, Guaranteed, Smooth, writing pen, is a must have. "Amazon" always, the best.

I’ve been using these pens for YEARS and nothing else compares for me 💙. I’m ridiculously picky about pens, and these are my forever favorites. They write so smoothly, the extra fine point is perfect, and the blue ink just looks better to me than black. Somehow these make even boring paperwork feel slightly less painful. I always keep extras around because I genuinely get annoyed when I have to use another pen now.

I grabbed this 5-pack of Pilot Precise V5 stick pens in red with the extra fine 0.5mm point because I needed a consistent red ink for highlighting and editing notes while traveling. After moving from Florida to Delaware, I still do a lot of business and leisure trips where I'm marking up printed documents, checklists, or meeting agendas on the go. I expected smooth liquid ink flow without much skipping, a fine line for precise work, and decent visibility on paper. They mostly met those expectations for practical use, though the stick style has its limits. These pens write with a clean, extra-fine line that stands out well for corrections or action items. The liquid ink flows fairly evenly most of the time, making it easy to underline key points or write small notes without blobs. In real life, I've used them on recent trips to mark changes on itineraries, highlight important sections in reports, and add quick edits to forms at the airport or hotel. The red color is bright enough to catch the eye without being too loud. The clear barrel lets you see how much ink is left, which is handy. On the other hand, the ink can smear if you touch it right away, especially if your hand rests on the page. It sometimes skips or needs a quick scribble to start after sitting unused for a day or two. Since they're stick pens, there's no cap or retractable tip, so they can dry out a bit faster if left uncapped. They also show through on thinner paper if you press too hard. Value for money is decent with the 5-pack. They're not super cheap per pen, but they last a reasonable time for how often I use red ink on the road, and the pack gives you backups without buying singles. Overall, these Pilot Precise V5 red pens are a solid basic choice for anyone who wants extra-fine rolling ball pens for marking and editing. They handled what I expected for smooth daily writing pretty well during travel, even if smearing and occasional skipping pop up. I keep a couple in my bag now.

These were my favorite pens in elementary and middle school my dad liked them too. Very nostalgic to buy a pack, and they work great to this day I use them daily for work.

Have loved these pens since my working days. Smooth writing, fine point and long lasting. Not waterproof which is my only complaint but it’s not enough to stop me from purchasing and using them. I’m currently doing my Bible study journaling with them and am well pleased with them. Its smearproof within seconds. Overall a fine product which i will continue to use.

I am so grateful that Amazon carries this product which became unavailable in my city once the office supply stores ( chain) closed their doors for good. This was the only store that carried them , although the blue was available in one other store. But only the one blue one. They are the absolute best pen. My father and I are very picky pen people and both independently chose this pen over all others. Added bonus is the variety of colours and I am thrilled to find the violet purple is now again available!!! Just bought 6. Truly an excellent pen. I saw a post of someone in India describing how he loved his pen; that just the feel of it in his hand made him feel good. Curious I asked what his favourite pen was and received a photo of a blue pilot v5 pen!! He refilled the pen himself - I am still unclear how he did it, though I have no interest in doing the same. Yes if you want a smooth writing pen you CANNOT ( caps for emphasis only) beat the pilot v5. There are three different shades of blue and my favourites purple and pink. Green, black and red are also available. Price is great. You can’t go wrong. Neither myself nor my father will use any other writing implement. Pilot v5 is the ultimate - best pen. Great job people. I had never used a rolling ball pen like these until a friend handed me one when I needed a pen. Ever since that time about a decade ago, these are my go to pens. They never jam or dry up. Just smooth clear writing. They last a long time so I haven't needed to buy them often. My only knock on them is the cost, but buying them in a five or ten pack makes them competitively priced. Similar to using a good mouse and keyboard for your computer, if you do any amount of writing or printing, using a good pen like these will make all the difference in the world. They have never leaked and they never smudge. This five pack will last me at least ten years which is incredible value.
