Good beginner's kit with lots of useful staples in different sizes and shapes. Easy to use and operate. Plastic welding 🥽 isn't much more than melting and joining pieces together - - this is a simple tool that's useful around the home, as well as DIY projects.

Works great. Takes a few trial runs but once you get the hang of it you see what a great tool it is. Feels sturdy and gets to working temperature in seconds.

I was surprised at the quality of this plastic welder. It actually worked to repair a broken handle on a suitcase. Took a few times to get the actual pressure correct as you push down on the plastic with the metal, but it worked. A cool gadget to add to my collection.

For the price its great and comes with a TON of the plastic staples. The snips are absolute junk so you'll need your own side cutters. Then for the sharp nubs, get a grinding wheel on an angle grinder. Don't even bother to mess with a dremel as you'll space the staples every few inches and have a TON of nubs to grind. No idea on the weather resistance of the staples. I'd recommend painting over them or clearcoat just to have something in case they want to rust but I have no real data for it. Used the kit to fuze back together some parts of a quarter panel, door, and rocker panel on a saturn vue. I just used staples, ground flat, then spot fill, primer, paint, clearcoat. It should work the same for just about all bumpers. If you want to be even more exacting, you could use these to hold position and then coat/fill cracks with epoxy for max strength. 4 stars because the junk side cutters weren't worth the processing time to make and ship them.

love these things, just remember to take your finger off the trigger and let it al lcool down for a few seconds or you will pull it out, this one came with a ton of staples,, I throw the straight ones away for space, dont ever see myself using them, I have used these on leaf blowers, jack hammers ( why it has a plastic handle/) works great

This is the coolest tool I've seen. I bought it because I was at a friend's house hanging out in the garage and he had a thick plastic wheelbarrow with a large crack in it. He broke out the plastic welder and my jaw dropped, I didnt know this existed. Needless to say, he got free labor on the repair because I enjoyed using it so much. When I was done with everything you could barely tell it was ever damaged at all. I bought one for myself and have only done one repair. It was a plastic wheel on my work toolbox with a broken core. Its repaired, but ugly so no pic. The bottom line is its a fun tool to use, really inexpensive for what it does and its pretty easy to use. I definitely recommend every DIYer get one of these.

Have repaired several plastic containers

Already used and it worked well to fix a cracking plastic water machine case. Tons of wires to use. Only complaint is after use, i had to wire snip the upright legs and they were sharp. Had to then grab a rotary tool to carefully grind points off.

The build quality seems good. There's a good variety of staple of different shapes. I had to repair a "blue box" (recycle bin" where the corner cracked. I was frankly surprised just how well this worked. With the different shaped staples, I was able to repair the large crack and return the plastic back to its original form. The only downside with this kit is the little side cutters. It is too small and weak to actually cut the staples' legs. I had to use a proper set of side cutters to cut the staple legs. As it's impossible to cut below the surface, I did have to use a grinding stone on a fast drill. This worked perfectly and zero sharp edges remained. I do recommend this product.
