Great idea book
I've been looking for a good multi shaft weaving book and this is definitely it. So many awesome ideas in so many different weave structures. I'm sure this will be a favorite go to.

This is a very nice weaving book for anyone who understands shaft looms. It is high quality and printed on quality paper. The photos are clear in the instructions are excellent. This is one of my go-to books for weaving.

Absolutely indispensible, wonderfully written and infinitely useful weaver's companion.
A well-written, concise and informative directory of both modern and classic 8-shaft weaving patterns, collected and edited by Carol Strickler. This has been an absolutely essential piece of my weaving library, and I even ended up buying a second copy to gift to a novice weaver taking steps toward a master weaving program. This book helped me push the boundaries of my own weaving skills and develop the ability to interpret and combine weaving drafts to form my own patterned fabrics to incorporate into my textile art pieces. Indispensible.

Makes you stretch your skills
The only thing I dislike about this book is that the pictures are all black and white. Some of the intricate patterns are not discernable in b&w. Color would have been helpful.

This is an excellent book with a lifetime’s worth of weaving patterns in it. Illustrations and photos are all black and white, but book was first published in 1991. Book is divided into 25 chapters and gives instructions for warping hundreds of patterns, from simple twills, to much more complicated designs. Each pattern has a photo of the finished cloth and the drafting and tree align order shown in diagrammatic form

I bought this book for my wife, who loves to weave. So far she has worked on 4 shaft looms, but we recently ordered her a new 8 shaft one. We didn’t think it was so hard to find patterns for 8 shaft looms. We were very happy to find this book. A real gap-filling work.
