What gauge are the needles?

Unfortunately the gauge is not specified on the packaging, only the length.

will these needles fit through button holes to sew on pincushions?

don't know - we used them to tuft a headboard

With this needle leave a hole in cotton fabric when tying a quilt?

I used the needle to attach a large button to the top of a tuffet. It will make a hole but the fabric will close around the thread after it is pulled through.

If I order this, how many needles will I get, 4 or 16 ? It says 4 needles per pack, 4-pack, a bit confusing.
